Coleman puts MBB in the top 6 team recruiting rankings per 247 sports. Hopefully our missing piece along with the other great recruits coming in next yr. Gonna be fun to watch them.

Watching this guys highlights, he seems to be one of the main pieces that this team is missing. He should start from day 1 and make everyone that much better around him. A true PG who can score as well.
If we get Bamba them we would have 4 Team USA U18 players... he visited campus with Coleman so maybe that helps us since he also played with him.
He did an interview after committing that said he was working Mamba and another (I can't remember his name) but if Mamba joins the mix, that would be a really good group!
Yep. I think Shaka recruited last year thinking he'd have Taylor back for his SR year. When that didn't happen the team was in trouble. Looks like he has solved the issue. I'd like to see them pick up a transfer PG to.
I am from Indiana and my number 1 team is the Hoosier but living in Austin, I am a season ticket holder. Nothing tops College Basketball. IsaiahTaylor leaving certainly created a blip but Coleman should hopefully fix that quickly. I am not to worried about a backup PG as Roach and Jones are getting OJT. As painful as it is now they will get better.
If all the frosh and sophs return, how many schollies are left to handout? Bamba would make 2017 a class of 5 if he commits.
Yeah. Neither guy should be leaving. Roach will be dynamic off the ball. Am I the only one that thinks Allen isn't that good? I mean he's got talent but to me is a LONG way from being a dominate college player let alone NBA guy.
You get 13 schollys, all fulls, no partials. Having not looked at the roster, I don't know what the numbers look like.
I personally didn't think that about Turner no. I thought he could of benefited from another year at UT but most guys could. Allen has trouble even staying on his feet at times.
Just off the top of my head.
Yancy and Claire are seniors. So with Coleman in the fold there is currently one 2017 spot open
It sounds like Mack is on thin ice and Allen is probably a one and done guy. So 2 more could open.
Would a trade, Allen for Bamba, work out better for us? I know they don't quite play the same position, but is it an upgrade to Bamba? Assuming he commits
I don't really know enough about Bamba to have a strong opinion. I will say this team neees offense and Allen although he's shown flashes offensively hasn't been that consistent offensive presence in the post you want. I'm sure the lack of a PG is a factor there. If bamba can give us some offense and banks with the D maybe we are better.
I haven't watched this team enough to know, but is Banks an above average defender? Outside of PG, what is the biggest weakness that this team has to overcome?

I thought Osetkowski looked really good in the pre-season scrimmage. High energy and aggressive. Looked to be a better scorer than Banks or Cleare.

Weaknesses:
Early in the season gave up way too many offensive rebounds.
Inconsistent shooting. Sometimes dreadful.
Piss poor half court offense.
Brain dead turn overs...several times on inbounds passes.
There are some guys who are virtual black holes on offense. When the ball hits their hands it's a missed shot or turnover.
Banks is a very good defender. Needs to develop his offensive game but that will come. PG and shot making are the two biggest weakness I see. Davis has shot the ball poorly and the lack of outside shooting has really allowed teams to just double Allen all day.
