welcome to the 40 young man!

In case you’re wondering, he is a 4* DE for the 2021 class.
Good get.

Morice Blackwell...OLB commits to the good guys....Welcome to the 40 young man!

He had offers from Bama, Baylor and Georgia.....supposedly a fast rising star
He is listed as a OLB but may actually be more of an ILB at Texas. He won't be a big run stuffing Mike type backer but more of the fast guy that can cover sideline to sideline, perform in pass coverage, but still bring some boom towards stopping the run game.

Wow! At first glance, your comment about him being ILB, I was scratching my head. I had seen his ht/wt at 6'1 198. But, then considering he is only a junior in high school and watching that video, I was impressed and now understand. I know I only saw his highlights and don't know him or have even heard him speak, but, he seems to be one of those guys that appears to simply love the game and has that knack of getting to the ball.

supposedly, he is one of those guys that everyone is starting to notice....

Yep, some size will likely come naturally and with a college S&C and diet program. That said, he is already stonewalling folks and knocking them backwards.

I must say our new linebacker coach is really making a huge difference. So far he has been our best recruiter.
Would like to see Clayton Smith added to the LB class, Terrance Cooks would be another good addition. That would be a great LB haul for the 2021 class.

USA Today article that is basically just a quote from an ESPN article.

Overall, these nationwide media outlets just aren't plugged in enough to really have any insight into what is really going on with specific recruitments. Outlets like Rivals or 24/7 are usually much better informed because they have regional and team specific writers who are tracking these recruitments in much greater detail
