We've barely started to field an above average offensive line. The future is bright.

This is the first offensive line unit in the last 15 maybe 20 years that has been above average to exceptional at times as a unit. Even the 2009 team that made the championship was running on fumes by the time we faced Bama. The teams that are in the final four are going to be stacked 2 deep with lineman that will be playing on Sundays. Look at the two teams in the finals. We've just started to get and develop those types of players and we still couldn't blow a top team off the ball for a single yard on a dive play. All the jumbo personnel packages on the roster couldn't do it. If we could have we would have.

With a 12 team playoff you have to be deep on the line as we just played our 16th game of the year with guys that were barely holding on and they played their guts out. Most will be gone next year. We're heading in the right direction, but this game shows you what is needed to make the finals. The O-Line was criminally not addressed by the last 3 coaches for 15 years.

Now that it's a priority, I think we're headed in the right direction and the future is bright. Hook 'Em.
