Its not a new currency. There are 55 million unbanked individuals in the united states. It doesn't make sense to give poor people a check and the only way for them so get access to the money is to give up 3-5% of the check to a cashing service. So instead of getting a paper check and cashing it and keeping the money in a physical wallet they get a digital check and keep the money in a digital wallet. It eliminates the need for a bank account or check cashing services.
Why not give them a simple visa gift card then?
Funny, it's a new currency. They want everyone in. So at first, you go after the outlaws, the unbanked. What better way than to offer some free walkin around money? They will have to have a digital signature to receive the money. If you have a bank account, look at your debit card. It already has a chip with a digital signature. The next best thing is a biometric chip in the hand to track and control everything they do..... Anyway, what happens when bank accounts pay negative rates? People will pull out the paper dollars, right? What happens when the paper dollars have a negative rate to deposit into the bank? This will happen to discourage the hoarding of paper dollars. This looks like 2 separate currencies to me.... exchange rates and all. Think a little bit down the road. It's easy to see. The paper dollar will be inflated away to pay the 20+trillion in debt. Don't be the sucker holding any debt tied to the paper or "old" dollar currency.

And I will add to this. I have a couple of digital wallets and these things are a sumbitch to set up. It’s not a matter of minutes I can assure you more like days to get them linked up etc. with the money source and then you have the whole hacking issues.
You are thinking in terms of bitcoin, etc... When the Fed and the government do it, with control in mind, it will be bullet proof.

Not one world, just for the USA. Yes, once your currency is completely digital, it makes collecting fines much easier. Just think about the possibilities. If your church refuses to marry Frank and Bob, well you too will be forced to comply or else.
Fines are collected quietly, no mess. No messy arrests of pastors that might incite a jailbreak.

Control. The government doesn't want you living off the grid for a myriad of reasons. Crime. Taxes. Commerce. Regulations. Big brother. They already track your calls, text messages, emails, social media posts, credit card purchases, Google searches, music play lists, pay per view rentals, GPS signals in your phone and car, bank accounts, health records (HIPPA just protects you from everybody else BUT the gov) air travel, foreign visits, guns you own and even the food you eat.

It's always been a balancing act for first World governments. It's why we have accumulated so much debt as a nation. Gotta have all the military might but ALSO gotta keep the mouth breathers happy with big screen TVs and four wheel drives. Take those Big Mac's and Air Jordan's away and make everyone stand in bread lines, and the citizens have nothing left to live for, so then the guns come out. Our political leaders know if they squeeze the masses TOO hard, it will eventually squeeze people to the point of breaking, and then it's time to go Elmer Fudd on those elected officials in charge. So each administration just keeps kicking that can a little further down the road.
One day the bill will come due. And when that day comes, your kids/grandkids/great grandkids better know how to shoot, stay mobile, start a fire with their hands, live off the land, scavenge, how to tinker and fix things, and understand asymmetric warfare. It's on the backs of people with those skill sets that this country will be rebuilt.

He was saying it was a Democratic hoax, but now he admits it's real. He tried to blame Obama. He tried to blame the media. He blamed governors. He started calling it China Virus, leading to even more acts of racism against Asian-Americans. He suggested that the need for ventilators and PPE was exaggerated, and that hospital workers must be hoarding supplies. He blamed his delays on his own (well deserved) impeachment.
And he took zero responsibility for his own actions and failures to act.
But now much of what he's saying is what I was saying long ago. Peter Principle keeps changing his tune.
The problem is that the common folk don't change gears as fast. They are still spouting his stage 1 lies, or stage 2, or other earlier ones. They can't keep up. He's at what stage now? 43?
