Curious as to how much weight voters give certain issues when electing a president.

1. Education - i believe that a college education should be available to every graduating high school student. The cost for this education should be an equal burden to all. I believe the better educated our society, the better we as a country can navigate forward.

2. Immigration - its impact on the American culture, the burden illegals cause this country, as well as the safety of every citizen within our borders.

2A. Homeland security - Until we fix 2 how can we begin to address this in the capacity in which this subject deserves.

3. Medical - every American should have access to medical treatment that will not babkrupt them. Equal quality of care across the board.

4. Economy - i believe that addressing 1&2 will fix 3&4. I believe that our foreign trade policies are handicapping the US and should be revised.

5. Foreign Affairs - meh - whatever - lets fix the US before we worry about the rest of the world.

Curious as to what drives voters in this board to choose their next president. Or do you just vote dem or rep because your ancestors have? Seems many on here may vote because of the history of a party( racism, conservatism etc..) rather than on todays party platforms.
