I bet I haven't been to one in 15 years, but still see them all over.
I believe at one point and it still may be the case, Subway had more locations than any other restaurant. It was never good, but started going downhill 20 years ago, so can't imagine it's improved. Also, many more options for sandwiches now. Jimmy Johns and Jersey Mikes are vastly superior.
