Typically after tragedies involving guns -- including assault rifles -- they are quick to ignore the loss of life and re-state their need to protect gun rights. But they are also staunch supporters of law enforcement. Will be interested to hear what they say, if anything, after 5 officers (one as a result of being outgunned in face-to-face combat) were killed and others injured by a civilian toting an assault weapon.
