Who do you like Clemson or Alabama?

The best thing about Alabama losing is watching its fans cry when they do. I don't know if you've heard stories about their fans westx, but if you have then you know that they are the worst fans in American sports. At their worst they rank right up there with soccer fans in South America.

That's not an exaggeration.

I'm glad bama lost. But you are wrong about their fan base. I've been few games at Bryant Denny stadium and the fans were as welcoming as ever to me and my group who were not bama fans. We were invited to their tailgates, bought drinks at bars. Maybe you had a bad experience, but mine was very welcoming.

I like how Watson gave a nod to VY in his post game comments. He did a good impression of him with that final drive and last second score. Definitely shades of the '05 Rose Bowl last night. This was a feel good win for Deshaun and Clemson.

“The thing that was running through my mind was Vince Young," Watson said on the podium. "I was like, man, we have to be great and I want to be legendary. Vince Young was one of my greatest players that I love to watch, and we pulled it off.”

OU's offense most definitely on par or better than Clemson at the end of season no doubt. Mayfield a better passer than Clemson qb. Deal with it. How many games did Clemson eek out this year against vastly inferior competition? Do your work before posting.

No. You do your work before posting. The ACC was the best conference in the county.

And Baker Mayfield couldn't carry Deshaun Watson's jock.

I am referring to when they lose. Good grief poisoning the Auburn spirit tree a few years ago.

A women shooting someone in her home because in her opinion they weren't upset enough about Bama losing to Auburn.

The drunken lady who dove into the crowd and kicked everything possible at the Sugar Bowl against OK a few years ago.

And there's the things they say on that dunce's Finebaum's radio show.

Most people are great when they win.

Don't forget the Bama dude who literally teabagged the passed out LSU fan. Wait, that one was kind of funny.

You mean at the beginning of the season? That's right. OUs offense vastly improved and ran over that vaunted Auburn run defense in the bowl game. Those sour grapes must be pretty bitter?

Auburn wasn't s*it this year. The SEC ramrodded Auburn into the Sugar Bowl even though they had the option to invite another team if they didn't like it.

Do you even watch football or do you just sit behind a computer in your trailer home in Comal County.

Fair game you were the one that bragged he lived like that.

I agree but I do think Scarborough going out changed the game and swung it in Clemson's favor. Clemson didn't do too well when he was in there in my opinion.

Wrong as usual Belldozer. Scarborough gained 76 yards on his first 9 carries. He gained 17 yards on his next 7 carries and on the last carry he was injured.

4.Props to Dabo.....how many other coaches would risk an outright loss by electing to try yetone more time to score instead of taking the sure tie? I suspect the realization of that moment has yet to hit him.

I was thinking that last play had the potential to be a Colt McCoy/Nebraska/Big XII championship type of play - I would've taken the field goal.

Only in your world dozer does ou improve but Ohio St. gets worse or stays the same from the beginning of the year till the end of the year. Ohio St. crushed ou and it is not sour grapes for me at all. Just pointing out the truth.
First of all who said Ohio St. did or didn't improve as the year went on? Do you like making things up and then convincing yourself that someone said it? OU's offense drastically improved as the year went on. Ohio State got drilled 31-0. That speaks more to Clemson's defense than it does Ohio State's offense. Again sour grapes. OU's offense is on par and probably better than Clemson's. Mayfield throws the ball better than Watson and every stat backs that up. OU physically whipped a supposed very good SEC defense. Your hate is so obvious.

Ahh I see so you don't think Clemson was bringing one of their safeties up to help stop Scarborough? It just goes to show, you have no idea what you are watching. The impact of Scarborough leaving the game was tremendous for Bama. It totally changed what Clemson did on defense.

Dammit Sholz....get it right!...aggie doesnt have to share in the secsecsec losses. They only bask in the glory of the secsecsec wins!

as I said somwhere....as I type this crews are having National champions 2017 chisled off the wall at Kyle field II

Haha yes the ACC had a good year, I never claimed they didn't. Clemson has a better D than OU no doubt but OU's offense at the end of the year is on par or better than Clemson's. Mayfield throws the ball around better than Watson and has the stats to back it up. Watson had a good 2nd half last night no doubt though.

Ha yes. Internalize successes. Externalize failures. Got it. :D

Bell....hypothetical question.....so you say Mayfield "throws " the ball better than Watson.....with the chance to pick....which QB would you say had the best chance on that last drive with all the marbles on the line?.....2 min to go 80 yds....how abot on the last play....6 seconds left in the game...ball on the 2...with Mayfield, would you just kick it for the tie?

How can you divide better passer from better QB?......I will say one thing...I doubt the NFL agrees with what you are saying. That is my opinion by the way. As a side note...I do believe you have good judgement, perhaps biased, but you can at times be level headed.

Fair question. I believe Mayfield is a far more efficient passer and set that all-time record this year. I'm not sure there's a better qb with his accuracy on the run than Mayfield. The plays that Clemson threw to the white receiver including the game winner was as basic as you can run, the guy was wide open. That's a play run every other series in the Big 12. In my opinion Bama had their db's aligned wrong both times and allowed the one db to be scraped off(basically picked) both times. If you notice Texas and OU generally stagger their db's to avoid that scenario. Really it wasn't much skill involved hitting a wide open receiver. Watson had a good second halfand is a good qb no doubt and may make a better pro qb. But at the College level I think Mayfield is a more complete qb.

Bell, why are you bringing OU into the discussion in this thread? This thread is about the Clemson/Alabama game. Let it go, man.

You know where they would love to have a conversation about this, the gooner board.

Some final thoughts about the game. They kept talking about how the Alabama qb didn't have to do much during the season and how he wasn't doing much in last night's game. And then after doing nothing in the passing game thanks to a blown coverage by the Clemson secondary he trhows a 68 yard td pass. And then when Clemson finally goes ahead he scores on a 30 yard scramble.

I started thinking does everything go their way?

Now I want to say something here. They must have mentioned Steve Sarkanian's name 100 times last night. But they never said anything about Clemson oc Tony Elliot. They did the one thing he wanted to do most is try to run at least 90 plays and they did. And the mighty tide defense finally buckled. In the end they could not stop Deshaun Watson.

And Clemson is the nc

Every fan base has a few crazy people. The five people you listed don't represent the whole fan base. My experiences with the people were before be games were played.

Ok fair enough. But still no Texas fans that I know of read about ever did anything like that.

Great point, cali. I was thinking the same thing last night when Herbstreit said "You know we have been talking a lot about Sarkisian and the great game he is calling" (I thought he was going to begin praising Elliott), then he says "Let's talk about defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt and the great job he has done". These quotes aren't verbatim, but, close enough.

My computer doesn't have the ability to transfer videos over to this site. But after watching that video I saw one of a Alabama fan bloodied in a fight after losing to Clemson.

Have you checked it out?

Yeah, I saw that one as well. Interestingly, I saw that there were a couple of ranking services that had Alabama as the national champion this year. I'm pretty sure they will claim it.
