I guess I don't understand why Dems want one and GOP does not. I pretty much always look at these things from the standpoint of each side wanting what is best for them and not the country. Does an independent investigation carry some huge stigma or cause big disruptions in the operations of gov't?
Is it simply that the GOP is currently in control of some part of the investigation and the Dems are on the outside looking in - or is there something else?
