4th and 13, game on the line. Quinn sees something, changes the play, and hits the game-saving TD. All props.
For those (millions?) fans that think they know better than Sark, that he's effing us by not starting Arch over Quinn? This is why. Because at this point in their careers, Quinn has a better handle on the offense. He stepped up, read the defense, understood what they were doing, and changed the play into something to attack it.
And won the game.
That is where Quinn has an advantage. Arch has the physical tools, but Quinn has the experience, and it showed in the biggest moment.
And I say this as one of the fans that has been critical of Ewers. I think the expectations on the guy are totally outrageous, since he came in as the number one recruit, and he's paid handsomely, and there has been all this NFL Round 1 talk. We (me too) don't appreciate how good he is at this level. Do I think he will be a successful NFL QB? No. He doesn't have the physical tools, in my opinion. But if I stop and just appreciate what he's done for us? Hell yeah.
