I have found over the years this site is the absolute best site questions on firearms and such so I am hoping it is just as great a place for Wildlife Management questions...
Little Back story I just purchased some land past Fredericksburg and I will be hunting Whitetail there.
I have had cameras up for about 6 months and I have a 5 yr old 6 point with no Brow Tines and from the pics he seems to be very dominant.
So I have heard two completely different thoughts on 2 year old spikes and 4 points (no Brow Tines )
1. wait until they are 3 they could grow them
2. they need to be culled before three so they cannot pass on their genes...
This is my first own place as I have always leased and never really had to worry with the management aspect in the past.... Just curious what the thoughts are on the board...
Oh and man it feels good to be a Longhorn fan right now!!!!! I can only remember early 80s us being ranked number one during the season... Hope they remember how to light the tower with the number one!!!
