Trading Ewers for Caleb Williams is a no brainer. Ewers will never ever ever be as good as Williams (why can’t we get these QBs who hit it off on their first year?)
But would you trade Ewers right now for Klubnik, Gabriel or Weigman?
Klubnik - Absolutely 100% he is superior to Ewers so far. This is just not debatable by anyone On planet Earth.
Gabriel - I think so but less certain at 55%. He has DEMONSTRATED superior touch and feel for the game but I’m still not sure about Gabriel at the highest levels.
Weigman - Yes 60%. Forget stats For a second. Just using your eyeballs…he is not as jittery/unsure of himself as Ewers is. He looks more ready than Ewers but mistake prone too.
I’m obviously rooting for Ewers to grow and get better (he is OUR QB) BUT it’s undeniable that these other 4 QBs have developed at a superior rate than Ewers….so far as of TODAY.
