Xavier Worthy arrested

Assault with Injury/Family Violence - Strangulation. That’s a 3rd Degree Felony for his first offense. Damn, man… Come on….

Seriously-- I have a question...

How hard is it to just not "choke a b!tch out"? .I use that vernacular because, well, I've heard it used before in certain communities.

But seriously- does dude have a little dick? Is his boo a giant b!tch? Was he a molested child? Did he just grow up thinking it was ok to put hands on a woman? Did she come at him with a steak knife?

I just don't get it.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I’ll fight a woman. It has nothing to do with the size of my dick. I’m just a feminist, so if a woman tries to harm me, I’ll give her the same respect by responding to her as I would a man…

But, seriously, I’ve seen male officers get seriously hurt because they didn’t take putting hands on a female suspect as seriously as they would’ve a man. It almost happened to me. My first fight as a cop was with a street walker on South Congress. I tried to be gentle, because she was a woman and she clawed the ever-loving shit out of me until my field training officer punched her on the side of her head. She almost took my eye with her fvcking nail claws, and I learned an important lesson that night.

Now, my wife is a different matter. I would NEVER lay hands on my woman, no matter how much she deserves it.

Be honest-- you were over on the east side at 8th and Navasota and it was really a dude dressed as a woman.........

That was a little later in my career. I did my field training in southwest Austin; back when there were actual women street walkers. Now, any streetwalker you see in Austin is really a dude.

Hearing/reading that this was his gf who was caught cheat in’, was asked to move out, refused, trashed a room, was actually getting physical with him, ripped some hair off his head.
Lawyer has released a statement, but I can’t copy/paste.

My man- back in the 90s I had a degenerate teammate that used to go over to the east side looking for Tgirl hookers to gank their purses for cash.

Not sure how that county handles domestic violence calls but some places MANDATE the man spend the night behind bars regardless of who is at fault for "safety reasons."

Hopefully his account is the accurate one.

Texas is a ‘Shall Arrest’ state for family violence. That means if there’s even the weakest probable cause that a family violence assault occurred, officers HAVE to make an arrest. There is zero officer discretion in the matter, and not arresting can get the officer disciplined, or even potentially charged themselves.

Even in cases of mutual combat, it’s literally flip a coin for who goes. Arresting both, as much as I would have loved to in some instances, isn’t an option. Sometimes, trying to determine the primary aggressor is damn near impossible. I’ve had to take people to jail, when I knew it was extremely weak and confident charges would end up being dropped. I understand the intent of the law, but it can also be real shitty at times.

I did half my growing up in Houston. Not one of the fancy suburbs that people like to call Houston, but Alief. Some of the guys in my hood would load into a car (usually stolen), hit Montrose, and jack hookers for their purses. Some of them were pretty good football players. I wonder one of them ended up bringing his combined skills to Austin.

Not this guy. He was deep east Texas. Ended up going to jail for kiddie porn.

Hmmm interesting how this thread went once information came out and the charges were dropped.

Any pics of this girl? I imagine that she wasn't a happy camper, having to vacant a nice Westlake (or better) mansion and lose her fringe nail salon and shopping benefits.

Yea I definitely got the flow, logic and intent. But thanks for the offer.
The false charge was dropped just as Beard's should have been. To bad for Chris that he's white and that RT was on the bench and was next in line. Texas jumped at the opportunity to go DEI. Well how'd that work out for Texas? 2 buyouts later and Texas still has an inferior coach.

Chris Beards charges were dropped so not understanding that. So when did RT get the job? After the season when he won the games? When was Chris Beard let go? Before the end of the season? If RT would have proceeded to lose when he was the interim he still would have gotten the job because he's black? Is that how that works ?
Why do people have such simplistic mindset and clamoring to claim victimization? Chris Beard got another job making millions. Because he wins. RT will never get another head job because he's better as an assistant not a head coach. Sometimes it's that simple. The vast majority of people who are complaining about DEI and even the ones who benefit from it don't even know what it truly is.

Could have fooled me. Beard is still guilty in the court of liberal Austin opinion. On surly, it's Beard's fault that RT failed, geesh.

Meh- Belmont is no stranger to catering to the societal trends. Steve Patterson flat out said he was hiring men of color for football and basketball. When pressed with "Mike Tomlin? Tony Dungee? Doc Rivers?"-- men that we all would have literally kissed the feet of as they stepped off the platform of the G5 that flew them to Austin-- the response from Patterson was almost a "meh- any black man will do" in nature. Now, that's obviously NOT what he said. But his goal was obvious. And unless you're hiring dudes of THAT caliber- why do they have to be of a certain race?

Belmont is driven by numbers- the green ones-- but don't kid yourself- they dreaded firing Charlie. They dreaded firing Shaka. Same goes for RT.
Why?

Because of the unspoken blowback. Yes-- it's about wins. I don't give a fvck if you look like Alf and smell like a Moroccan toilet-- you hang a banner for my team and I'm your guy. You wallow in aggie mediocrity- you can kick rocks.

With regard to Worthy- we still don't know ALL the story and we won't until the trial. Right now, his PR team is telling a WAY better story than hers. Is he innocent? Maybe. Is he as innocent as Beard? Don't know.
But what we DO know is-- it's not a good look. No matter who is at fault. And when a woman says a man put hands on her- we as men usually take a deep breath and think-- "ok..... well.... that's not acceptable..... did she provoke him....?"

Why do we do that? To try and understand what happened. More often than not- it's the sthlete that's the aggressor- I think we can agree on that. And....... many of us are guilty of assuming that (usually) from the get go. I know I am.
