I'm sure he did not let on to his players, but I think Sark knew that Texas was going to handle Oklahoma with ease. The corn-dog moment in the presser only solidifies this line of thinking. Watching him on the sideline it was more like he was coaching a scrimmage teaching players vs worrying about the Sooners and having to implement a complex game-plan.
He went to a full diet of quick lateral passes ala Greg Davis for several reasons IMO - in no particular order:
1. He wanted to ease Quinn back into live action.
2. Quick passes keep Quinn from getting blitzed and reinjured.
3. Oklahoma's strength is inside.
4. Our guys typically are great in getting the ball in space and using their speed to make something happen.
5. He wanted to put a smile on @echeese as he reminisced about his fave OC
This short passing game along with a steady diet of counter plays was a way to get an easy win while not showing Georgia anything but plain vanilla.
There was really no need to throw the ball deep or deep middle - a 31 point win against your biggest rival while saving wrinkles for our biggest game served was like a 2 for 1.
There is no doubt we will see a completely different game-plan this coming weekend.
