Wings Over Houston

Just got back from Ellington Field. First time to ever see the Blue Angels. All I can say is that was completely bad ass. From the Tora Tora Tora run thru the F-18s, what a display of power.

If you were/are a member of the armed forces and are responsible for that level of badassedness at any level, thank you. Feeling that power and sound puts things in a whole new perspective.

Bias in officiating

Ok no, this is not a full on the Refs are against us thread. However. How many holding calls did Vandy get last night? I mean we didn’t blitz that much but really, they played that clean? It would seem that a crew that flag happy, ( I mean one of our holds looked like a good pancake block) would be seeing holds everywhere and Vandy should have had a few.

Now @Anwar Richardson I know you were working hard, and could have been just winding down, but on post game show last night, you did make the observations on the officiating.

Never asked for a favor in 21+ years of being an Orangebloods member…

That ends today :)

I kindly ask for your help with encouragement from my wife. My baby boy, Luciano, is participating in a contest and currently sits in 1st place. We are hoping he can hold strong and advance to the top 20. A Facebook account is needed to vote. Voting ends Thursday night. You can vote once a day. Thanks in advance.

If he wins the contest, I will donate $2500 to the Texas One Fund or a charity determined by the board at a later time. Hook’em!

UPDATE
He made the top 20 of his group. They’ll cut five babies in six days to make it a top 15.

Texas BASEBALL - 2026 Commit Alert

The Longhorn staff continues to stockpile talent for the 2026 class. This time, the staff stayed in the state of Texas, grabbing one of the best RHP in Karson Reeder.

The Tomball product has a great feel for pitching, not just throwing and has consistently put up great numbers. During the 2024 season, Reeder went 13-1 with a 0.89 ERA, striking out 120, while only issuing 20 walks. In addition, Reeder was named to the Underclass All-Tourney Team at Area Codes baseball along with fellow Longhorn commit Trey Rangel.

Reeder has a FB that sits in the upper 80s and has touched 90, but with the type of arm action and the athlete he is, there is more growth and velo coming. He also throws a curveball and an even better slider, both for strikes, generating uncomfortable looks at the plate.
