Curious if anyone lost money there or worked for Stanford?

I actually interviewed there at one point. I do remember going on Glassdoor at the time and lots of people said Stanford was super eccentric and very weird.

Allen Bard died . I was a chemistry major, knew of him, had a class with him, and became good friends with two of his grad students. They went on to highly successful careers as academic chemists, and remained very close to Dr. Bard. He was a towering intellect and a good and generous person. He will be missed. What a legacy.

Somewhere around 7th or 8th grade, we lost all desire to be different. Fitting in was our refuge from the giant chemical attack we call puberty. Being different was equal parts courage and stupidity.
