Texas Basketball

It’s a long season and the Big 12 has been the toughest conference for the past several years. Texas Tech nearly won a title and Kansas/Baylor both did. We are in need of some wins but they need our support, not our criticism. No need to mention Beard and Shaka, those days are over. We lost Jabari Rice, Bishop, Timmy Allen, and Marcus Carr + Arterio AND TWO five star signees last minute. Holland and Johnson would be 40% of the starting lineup right now. It’s a long season but I don’t think Moody has been packed a single time. I know football season just ended but we can’t complain and be toxic if we don’t give our guys the homecourt advantage they need. Winning at home is tough, winning on the road is even tougher. Not the ideal start but we gotta keep fighting.

I love/hate politics

Listening to the coverage of the NH primary and they are talking about expectations and Nikki Haley. I have no dog in this fight. But listening to the talking points make me laugh and cringe. I just heard 5 people say she is alive with a second place showing. There are only two actual candidates. If you're not first, you're last. Add in New Hampshire is going to have a yuge amount of northern Mass folks coming in to vote.

Ok. There is my rant.

Pacific Island recruits

Announcers on the Tampa playoff game commented that Vita Vea was one of the best DT's in the in NFL.

Jake Langi was a staff member that was going to help with Pacific Island recruits. After looking at where our recent DT portal transfer fit on the Arizona depth chart, I noticed they had a surprising number of players with Pacific Island sounding names.

Makes me wonder if Johnny Nansen will have a bigger effect than Jake did with Pacific Island recruits.

OT: Twitter (X) Posts Here

Random thought, but my employer recently implemented a new Internet tool that blocks certain social media sites from being view on my work computer. It's completely eye-opening how much of this site, how much news, etc. is still just shared from Twitter. It just seems like the world would like us to believe that Twitter is dying or going away and that really couldn't be further from the truth when it comes to news, breaking news, etc. whether it's sports, politics, news, etc.

Maybe Best Positive Podcast Episode I've Heard - Tony Robins on TCN

First, yes it's on Tucker Carlson Network via "X" aka Twitter, but they don't talk politics at all - it's not political.

Tony discusses why we have good and bad times - how to excel in the good and strengthen yourself in the bad.

Both good and bad or cyclical - neither last forever.

There is a very interesting part on building wealth specifically through private equity and how you can get a piece of that. Tony has coached for almost 25 years Paul Tudor Jones, likely the world's greatest investor and shared his insights along with his meetings with Ray Dalio, Warren Buffet, and others - tons of great information.

He talks about life-changing events that we all face throughout our lives and how to deal with them.

How to accomplish a pathway to success, how to build a company or career, and so much more.

With all that's happening in the world it's easy to be consumed by negativity, just wanted to share with the board some positivity & insight.

There is so much packed into this one hour and it's not an infomercial - I found it to be one of the best single podcast's I've heard.

If you have an hour at the gym, or some "windshield time" I highly recommend it.

Have an amazing day!

Recommendations for Anus Whitening in Austin

Ok guys so long story butt I need a rec to pass along for a person I know who wants to get the ole butthole bleached for Valentimes Day.

Informal polling of my Wolf Pack indicates high satisfaction with Aesthetica Med Spa, while others seem to prefer “do it yourself” options. Seems like a job for the pros IMO.

Anywho this seems like the type of thing where OB is going to have more info than any other source, so do tell my hosses. Happy to ID you as referral source if it helps you out with future treatment.

OT: I Am Free!

Never thought I would see this day as Ive been one of the lucky ones to escape without being impacted before, but 2 weeks ago was part of T-Mobiles massive layoff. After 20 years with pretty much the only company Ive ever worked for, this chapter in my life has turned its page.

If anyone has any leads in Operational/project management would really appreciate any help. Im not tied to this and willing to step out as well, with my bachelors in Marketing.

Thanks again folks. On the bright side, this will mean I can enjoy this football season not having to worry at least for the time being about checking emails, slack or calls on Saturdays.

Norway over spring break travel reccos…..

Thinking about taking my 14 YO daughter. I have the opportunity to spend a couple nights in Copenhagen with my brother and his daughter (also 14 YO) while he travels to Greenland for a hint. When they head on from there I think 5-6 days in Norway would be awesome to see the northern lights, check out Oslo, Narvik, some fjords….etc.

Anybody been that time of year? What’s the best way to plan this? How cold will it be? I know it’s expensive as hell in Norway but how expensive?
