Dumb football rules

in my opinion

1. By far, the offense fumbles the ball and it goes out of the end zone and it's the defense's ball on the 20. Give the fumbling team the ball at the point of the fumble and be done with it.
2. The offense makes a substitution, with plenty of time left and the defense can lollygag a player in causing a delay of game or force a TO. Not 100% sure how to correct.
3. Being "covered up" making a player an ineligible receiver. Seems like a rule that lost its relevance when we got rid of leather helmets

Day, OSU classless POS

Up 31-15 with less than a minute left to play, Ohio State running back Treveyon Henderson broke loose and rushed downfield for what looked like an exclamation mark touchdown. However, Henderson did the classy and football-savvy thing to slide at the one-yard line to ensure the clock would run.

Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti did not call any of his remaining timeouts, indicating he was waving the white flag. Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day must not have gotten the message and gave quarterback Will Howard the go-ahead to sneak for a touchdown.

Day was asked post-game why he decided to score a last-minute touchdown with the game already well won and practically no time left on the clock.

"We said leave no doubt," Day explained. "We wanted to finish it the right way and make sure that everybody knows that this is The Ohio State Buckeyes."

After the game Howard was a POS. Class acts.

Are we, as Texas’ biggest fans, not allowed to question things?

I saw many extremely reasonable posters wondering what the heck was going on, especially after the first few drives of the third quarter. I’m not talking about the purely doom and gloom crowd who freak out at the first sign of trouble.

I also see many of you totally lambasting those posters. Are we, as what are probably the 1% of Texas fans, not allowed to question things at all? Do we have to fall in line with the pure sunshine pumpers? Do we have to spout the same always sunny rhetoric? Can we not disagree with coaching decisions?

Some of y’all would make great fascists. Some of y’all don’t want anyone to have opinions that aren’t yours. (Is that better?)

Edit after this thread made it to page two: I was not referring to any current United States political parties when I said the word “fascists.” And I’m 100% not asking anyone on OB to be okay with asshole posts roasting Quinn, any other players, Sark, or any other coaches.

I get it. I got too hyperbolic.
