UT Foundation & Texas One Fund In NIL 🆚 Other Schools - How to Dominate

I’ve heard talk of somehow encouraging donors to reduce their contributions by 20% and redirect to Texas One Fund

A few questions:

1. How much does the Foundation collect a year?

2. Where does Foundation spend that money?

3. If 20% went to Texas One Fund, where would that put us compared to other school’s NIL War Chests?

4. Could the Foundation take a further reduction to benefit Texas One? As it seems we’ve already rebuilt about every possible athletic venue on campus

With the great venues we have it seems in today’s world having the NIL Funds for athletes in all of sports should be priority one.

With Texas money, location, academics, history of success if we reallocate resources to NIL we could be the dominant Univerisity in most every sport.

5. Lastly who can make the call or push donors decision on this issue - CDC? The President of UT? Head of the UT Foundation

Parker Coody T10 heading into final round at Torrey Pines

Off to a good start of his rookie year. Made his first cut, just missed last week, and hopefully can finish strong tomorrow.

Unfortunately his brother has 3 MCs so far.

I also learned today from the broadcast that their grandfather won the masters and Colt’s dad roomed with Shipley’s dad in college.

OT: Anybody with connections to LiveNation or the Moody Center, wife update as well.

I am trying to find someone that might have some contact with LiveNation and or the Moody Center to help out with tickets for my wife and kids for Justin Timberlake.
I know what you all are going to say about him but it is her favorite singer and I am going to try and do what ever it takes to do a vip or something super special for her for this show.
If not one of those if there is anybody you can recommend that I contact.

I haven't given any updates on her condition as of late, but here goes one.

We have been getting infusions every other week since mid May and MRI's about every 90 days. She has been doing pretty good, the tumor is pretty much stable at this time which is all that we can ask for. The past couple of weeks she has been in a really funny mood waking up in the morning with a smile on her face makes my days complete. We are debating on doing another round of chemo TMZ and maybe adding Lomustine to it, but I worry about how it will effect her immune system and her possibly getting sick.

Thanks for any help that you guys may be able to give.

Singapore Relo Recommendations - UPDATE

Over the course of my career, I’ve traveled A LOT internationally. My stay at home wife has never come with me to Asia but we’ve taken several vacations together in Europe. I’m in my earlie 50’s, wife in her mid 40’s. We have a 1st grader and 10th grader at home.

I’ve accepted a position with the company that may require a relo to Singapore (Asia lite) in two years after the sophomore graduates. We thought it would be fun as I approach the end of my career to take this adventure and give the youngest some cool experiences.

Any of y’all ever do this? Recommendations on how to prepare - especially the wife? Thoughts on American Clubs and American School?

Rules will be followed on separate thread.

*~*~*~*~*~*

I accepted the position. Will be in Singapore the summer of 2026 for at least 2 years.

In addition to the above, how do I watch Longhorn football???

In this (NSFW) thread, we pay homage to the oracle that is Oddguwop

@Oddguwop has clearly demonstrated an ability to predict future events. No longer will I doubt. I accept your teachings, oh wise one.

Nanh Phuc and I are going out tonight. Which combo will ensure the most post-dinner action: Great Italian food with a nice red wine, or seafood paired with a nice white?

I wouldn't be surprised if @Tony3487 and @Hoosier Horn submitted offerings as well, it's Friday and I know they're down to score...

Shame-filled people think something is wrong with them at their very core, a sense of being bad.
~~~~~~~~ Susan Kwiecien
Late last night, I got an email from an old friend, describing for me a set of very poor choices she'd recently made, and telling me about the shame and regret she was experiencing. I wasn't sure how to help her, or if she was even seeking help so much as she was making her email a confession of sorts, a catharsis. I responded as best I could; now we wait. Her choices were indeed poor; she knows better. I didn't pass judgment, but I didn't let her off the hook either.
Thank God none of us here at TG have done anything like that, right? Of course we have, but look, nobody is rotten to the core, nobody is beyond redemption. Poor choices do not and ought not define us as rotten, any more than our good choices define us as perfect. Longhorn football has scoreboard over aggy, but life is not some eternal scoreboard, where we simply need to make sure our good choices outnumber the bad. If we manage to get to the Pearly Gates, I doubt we get to yell Scoreboard! and waltz in.
Mistakes, even the colossal ones, do not make us worthless. They do, however, help us to learn humility, while we ask God for the courage to make things right. As I reminded my friend, the next time she's about to jump into an abyss, a better idea would be to stop right then and ask Him for guidance and wisdom. Then I figuratively held my own words up to my face like a mirror, hoping that maybe I'd remember them the next time I was about to make a mess that only God could clean up.
We can't get to Heaven on our own; that's why He sent His Son down to help us.
Blessings my friends. Have a great Saturday.
Lincoln and his Team of Rivals...
Today's Presiden Biden and his appointees are not...unfair comparison, agreed.
Yet, if this is the "leadership team" under which we should live another 4 years, let us think before we vote.
Biden choses to divide our country's states - Lincoln led to reunite.
VP Harris - I let her speak for herself, should she be capable of doing so.
Secretary of State Blinken - Neville Chamberlain level appeaser - Iran, Afghanistan, China...
Secretaty of Defense Austin - AWOL on Afghanistan, Chinese balloon, Houthi attacks and literally AWOL for 4 days at Walter Reed.
National Security Advisor Sullivan - Never been better here in the Middle East.
Secretary of Homeland Security Mayorkas - Border denier.
Secretary of Energy Granholm - Oil/Natural Gas and associated jobs "BAD", Solar/Wind/EV failings "GOOD".
Secretary of Transportations Buttigieg - How much PTO and paternity leave do I get if I come on board?
Secretary of the Treasury Yellen - She should be transatory.
Secretaries of HHS Becerra and Secretary of Education Cardona - Don't underleverage the power the COVID.
Assistant Health Secretary Levine - Boy meets Girl.
Nuclear Official Brinton - Boy meets binary steals girls' luggage.
Attorney General Garland - Disgruntled, retaliatory former Supreme Court nominee.
