So, Texas helped to run off Saban?

I was listening to Full Ride on Sirius XM Channel 84 this morning like I do most mornings and host Rick Neuheisel mentioned an interesting story that he heard about Saban and Alabama players.

Two days after the Rose Bowl apparently multiple players flooded into Saban's office and said they wanted new NIL Deals because these players knew what the market was paying for players at other schools.

Nick was apparently so exasperated by this that it "could" have led to his early retirement announcement according to Neuheisel.

In the next sentence Rick mentioned the words "tampering" and Texas in the same sentence, implying this kind of conduct is illegal....oh boy.

Texas beat Bama on the field and now we are beating them off the field and if this story about Saban has any validity my response to the college football world would simply be: You're Welcome! The King is dead.

Akina coaching at 2 schools this fall!!

Wow so one of my best BMD sauces just called to say that Akina is gonna break new ground this season by coaching secondary at Arizona while also being an analyst with Texas. Will spend one week at each school while Zooming into the other. Alternating weeks. Will attend the game of team where he was physically present that week.

This seems like a lot for any person, butt if anyone can pull it off it wood be Dwayne Akina!

This info is rock solid. My bro saw it in writing, and has been a Level 1 guy for Akina forever.

Akina explicitly says that he considers the coaches on both staffs to be his brothers, and he is going to make sure they all finish things the right way.

Anywho, very excited to be part of such a revolutionary arrangement. I felt it was kind of a douche move to just ditch us butt now I am happy again bro.

OT: Construction Management Software - ProCore alternative?

Any good ProCore alternatives out there for commercial GCs? We like the RFI, submittals and plans tools in ProCore but don't have use for much else and I'm tired of paying for a bunch of features we don't use.

Would love something that pulled data from QuickBooks instead of only pushing it out to QB but haven't come across anything that does. Just wondering if anyone here has found something else they like for construction management or is ProCore the best option.

Packers were Mean to Cowboy Cheerleaders

Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.

"Y’all, the Cowboys versus Packers game last Sunday, I have never experienced such disrespect from the other team’s players to the cheerleaders in my five years as an NFL cheerleader," she explained in the video. "Like, we would literally be minding our own business and the Packers just scored a touchdown – this is just one example. They would come up to us standing on the sidelines, minding our own business, and start yelling at us.

Lassiter’s teammates, Jensen Merrill, posted in the comments to back up her story. "Literally was on the verge of tears," she wrote.

WBB: #11 Texas vs Kansas, Tuesday (1/16) - Coach Rori miked up

The Longhorns (16-2, 3-2) will try to bounce back from Saturday's loss to K-State against Kansas (9-7, 2-3) tonight. After losing their 1st 3 conference games, the Jayhawks have beaten #12 Baylor by 21 and followed that up with a 6-point win over Okie Lite. Kansas is 2-6 on the road or at neutral sites with losses to Penn State, #14 VaTech, #9 UCONN, aggy, #24 Iowa State and Texas Tech.

Deja Vu all over again. Texas will be facing a 4 Guard-1 Post team, lead by 6' 6" C Taiyanna Jackson (12.7 ppg, 10.1 rebounds, 2.7 blocks), with very proficient shooters from distance. Jackson is their 3rd leading scorer behind guard S'Mya Nichols (14.1 ppg, Kansas' pivotal freshman) and G Holly Kersgieter (12.7 pts) with each guard shooting better than 43% from BTA, 43.2% and 47.4% respectively.

Getting some early foul calls against Jackson would go a LONG way toward loosening their interior defense as she has registered 41 of their 59 blocks on the season and leads the team in steals.

This is also a very experienced Jayhawk squad - starters Jackson, Kersgieter and G Zakiyah Franklin are all "super seniors" while the other starting guard is a senior.

Longhorn metrics:
  • Going up against legit bigs has definitely impacted Taylor Jones. During the non-conference schedule, Taylor was 72/101 (71.3%) from the floor but is 7/19 (36.8%) in her 3 conference appearances.
  • A-Mo has been rounding into form, the redshirt sophomore is hitting 69.7% of her shots (23/33) during Big12 play.
  • The 2 most inexperienced Longhorns, A-Mo and Madison, accounted for 38 of Texas' 58 points against K-State. If the most experienced players on the roster, Shaylee and Shay, can't consistently provide 8-12 points each; this season is about to get interminably longer. They combined for 6 points in 76 minutes at Manhattan.
