Sitting at a bar in the Vegas airport watching the Horns go up 35-0 at half! Chatting with an interesting character… Billy “light shoes” Johnson…. He invented the shoes in the title.

Says the light up Longhorn shoes are doing well (he has college licensing rights to many schools).

Anyway, he was memorable enough and told stories of how the big boys (Fanatics, etc) try not to let the little guys win, so I thought I would drop this here.

Let’s see Arch in the 2nd half, and Ewers has thrown some dimes!

Kendrick with the kill shot on Aubrey

If you've not been keeping up with the Kendrick Lamar/Drake feud...

* Kendrick released a response to Drake today... not as good as Euphoria but it was a nice hook to the body.
* Drake responds back later tonight with a body shot of his own.

Then...

* No sooner than Drake's response had been out for 12 minutes, Kendrick came out with his second song of the day...

AND THIS ONE MIGHT HAVE ENDED THE FEUD. My goodness... this might be the Hit'em Up of the 2020s, if such a thing could happen. There's personal and then there's this.

What others do we need to add?
What others have I been shamelessly ignorant of, and driving past, for years?

No French or Finnish joints, please.

Austrian, Alsatian, Belgian, Dutch or Swiss bakeries are okay, though.

1st drive, early, plenty of time, yada yada

But GD if this doesn’t frustrate the hell out of me.

Home game, massively inferior opponent. We start moving the ball at will and then dump pants two plays in a row to give them some energy.

The last thing this team needs to take next step is the killer instinct. Assert yourselves. Still searching.

Yes, my pants are wet.

Today’s Gift (11-9)

“Success is a lot like a bright, white tuxedo. You feel terrific when you get it, but then you’re desperately afraid of getting it dirty, of spoiling it in any way.” —Conan O’Brien

As many of you know, my career was in sales. When I would have a great year, even an award winning year it was great at that moment, but then…the next year’s quota would arrive and I would feel a lot of pressure to live up to what I did the previous year.

The same can be said for someone who is retired. You work all your life to hopefully have a nest egg that will allow you to survive until you meet your Creator, only…once that day arrives, you start to worry…did I do enough? Or you ask yourself, now what?

Another example are those of us who have or are struggling with addiction or destructive behaviors, we can get a chip or a pin of days/months/years sober and that will feel great, but then one might worry about slipping up when things get rough.

Each day brings its new challenges and things to live up to, but that’s ok. Striving to get better at whatever it is you are doing or want to do is what makes life worth living. I try not to expect too much at any one time, but rather…take one day, one hour, one minute depending on what struggle you are facing to do your best and seek help if you are struggling.

You don’t have to face all challenges alone, reach out if needed.

Take good care my friends!

2 Questions, Recruits at the game and line of scrimmage

1. Does anyone know who is at the game and if we have any official visitors or flip guys there?

2. The DLine is not getting to the QB for the talent we have is it the coaches scheme or the players not getting it done?
OLine does not drive the other team back it just stays level and flat. Why do we not get push? RG and LG always struggle when they have players passed to them on stunt or blitz.
