20 years ago today

Although the “rivalry” between the two schools will always be there. Today marks 20 years we lost fellow Texans and loved ones. I still remember my roommate waking me up and telling me to call my Aggie girlfriend at the time. One of the scariest intense moments in my life. RIP to the 12.

It's sad all of the Aggies that lost their lives. Even sadder is that it shouldn't have happened and could have been avoided.

My dearest friend was working on his master's of engineering at the time. He was one of the workers on the stack. He wasn't answering his phone and neither was his engineer girlfriend. I made it to college station in what seemed like an hour and banged on his door. No answer. Drove to her place and banged on the door and she opened it looking exhausted. He was upstairs sleeping she had unplugged the phone so they could get some sleep. They had no idea what happened until I told them.

It’s sad that it sometimes takes a tragedy to make you see what is really important in life. From a senseless shooting to the bon Fire. Thoughts are with the Aggies today, may they all RIP.
