Couldn't cut it in the Mexican Leagues
I'm quick to move on guys...apologies for those that like to let things fester :)

First thing up is who comes back next year?

Matthew Golden?
Isaiah Bond?
DJ Campbell?
Cam Williams?
Michael Taafe?
Jaydon Blue?
Trey Moore?

What say you guys?

Golden - 75% gone
Bond - 75% gone
Campbel - 75% return
Williams - 90% gone (I don't understand his 1st round grade tbh)
Taafe - 50/50
Blue - 60% return
Moore - 50/50

I think Williams will be back.
I think if we can establish à great NIL package like Ohio State did last year I think most of these guys will be back. Listen I was reading an article in the Washington Post that Ohio State has a $20 million dollar team this year. I keep taking about today's game but it is what it is. We're going to have to do the same thing.

Hey guys I'm 231 days were going to get even with those guys.

Blue comes back and it won't surprise me to see him switch to WR. Dude is a hell of a chess piece to move around.
All offseason he needs to carry a football around with him 24/7. I want his hand and forearm to form a mold around the shape of the ball from carrying it so much. If he could be trusted to get 15 touches a game without fumbling he would be a big weapon.

Williams is gone for sure. First round money. Bond, same. Golden, most likely gone. Taeffe and Campbell depend on draft grades once they start talking to scouts.
Moore probably comes back.
Blue is interesting. His speed will definitely interest scouts but I think it will depend on what round they project him for.

Our RB room is dysfunctional. Our rb quality is poor. I like Wisener but Bijan is the standard. I don't see anything good here. Choice claims, 'we're good'. We're not good if we can't get 1 yard when needed.

The LB position needs to be upgraded and both Hill and Lefau need to progress significantly if we are to win a natty.

Hill talied off a bit toward the end of the year and he did not have a particularly good game vs. Ohio State. He was especially poor in pass coverage.

Lefau can't fit for shit and it makes me wonder how well he is being coached.

Brad Spence is coming in and Ty will have another Spring under his belt, but these four dudes need to be developed and I don't feel they are to the highest efficiency.

Time will tell.

What is our offensive lineup gonna be. I know defense will be a little better but again we are gonna be very thin on the defensive line.

I put my best guess in another thread, but here is what I see

I'm assuming that Cam, Golden and Bond are gone at WR. Banks is gone and Blue apparently is going to draft so here we go

QB - Arch, Owens, Lacey
RB - Baxter, Wisner, Gibson, Stewart
WR - Wingo, Lockett, Butler
WR - Moore, Ffrench, Livingstone
WR - Portal add, Niblett, Dubose
TE - Niblack, Shannon, Terry, Washington
LT - Goosby, Cojoe
LG - Hutson, Kibble
C - Robertson, Cruz
RG - Campbell, Umeozulu
RT - Baker, Chatman

QB room is green as green can be. Will need Arch to stay healthy.
RB room is shaky at best. Baxter can be very, very good but he has yet to play 4 games healthy in a row. Wisner will be a year better. Gibson needs to develop. No clue on Stewart as he is a freshman
WR room needs a portal addition or what would be even better is for Golden and/or Bond to come back. It is a very good room one way or another. Combo of Wingo and Moore will be so much fun for two more years
TE room is where we were at last year and then Helm went bonkers. We need that from Shannon. Niblack is a tremendous athlete, but was massively disappointing. Shannon is a giant, even bigger than Helm. I'm very excited about him. Also see what Michael Terry can bring to the table.
OL is going to be very green, but very talented. Replacing both tackles and your center can be disastrous. Hopefully they are serviceable. Having a mobile QB is going to be helpful, especially early on.

Edge - Moore, Burke
DT - Shaw, Terry, Charles
DT - January, Hills, Sharma
Edge - Simmons, Vasek
LB - Hill, Smith
LB - Lefau, Spence
Nkl - Guilibeau, J. Williams
CB - Muhammad, Wilson
CB - Black, Mack
S - Williams, Filsaime
S - Taaffe, McDonald

Edge room is very good and especially if Moore comes back. He probably should, but who knows. If he leaves we need to hit the portal to add a guy, but still have Burke, Vasek and a future award winner in Simmons coming back.
DT room needs a portal edition besides Shaw. Not sure what is left, but we need something at least like Bill Norton as he was very good for us this year. January saw action although limited, but he looks the part. Terry is supposed to be a stud freshman and he will need to be. Charles and Sharma are highly ranked freshmen as well. Need a portal sign
LB room got a nice addition in Brad Spence. This room needs to improve greatly if Texas wants to get over the hump
DB room loses two studs and a probable first round pick and Thorpe winner. That sucks, but this room is crazy talented. Guilibeau got a lot of experience and will need to take the next step. Muhammad's turn to go after a Thorpe award...it was nice to see him bounce back after Clemson tore him up. Taaffe comes back will be huge. Freshman Williams should see significant time behind Guilibeau and I'm hoping he is every bit the play maker as he should be. Black or Mack need to step up and fill the shoes of Muhammad as the CB2. And then there is McDonald and D Williams. These two could both be every bit as good as Mike Huff, maybe better at the safety position.
