Time to pay for football season tickets, really looking at schedule for the first time - our conference schedule sucks.

Only (3) SEC home games are in ATX, and they're all in November. Including sooner - (5) conference games are away. While we're the home team vs sooner, its still a road game.

First (4) conference games are away (FL, ou, KY & MSU), then (1) home game (Vandy), bye week, then away at UGA. We finish with (2) home games (Arky & aggy), which is nice. We do get a bye before starting SEC games and before the UGA game.

Except for tOSU, our (3) non-conference games in Austin are, as usual, all patsies (San Jose St, UTP, and SFA).

And our two toughest games are both on the road (tOSU and UGA).

This year Texas will struggle if we roll out the same run game. If Arch is going to develop, a strong running attack will be needed.

Arch can run out of the pocket. He doesn't get injured. Ewers missed at least 3 games a year. Ewers was like Ehlinger. You loved what he brought to the table but he's limited. We need for Manning to be a lot better if we're going to bring home the crown. I think he can be that guy.

Arch can absolutely get injured and he has a tendency to want to run over the tackler which is not a good strategy for a QB. There was speculation that Manning got a concussion in the Ohio St game on a run and that is why he wasn't in on the goal line.
