A/C in the visiting locker room

Coach O verified this morning that there was no A/C in the locker room. He stated that he'd been forewarned by La Tech from the week before about this and they came in ready (with portable units I think).
He stated that it was not the reason for the cramping which had more to do with an oversight by the training staff and players not understanding that they were still losing fluids even though there wasn't visible sweat in the dry heat, which is why they didn't take IVs.
Live and learn. But it seems Coach O should have been on top of this with all the time he spent out at USC?

Crazy that it only impacted defensive players and only occurred once the Texas offense started to gain momentum.

Crazy how Auburn, Alabama, and Georgia have all accused LSU of faking injuries to try to slow down other teams offenses.

I heard LSU coach say the same. Why wouldn’t you verify with Texas and just take La Tech’s word for it. Still bring your fans but confirm AC works in the locker room you’ll be in.

I've heard some weird sh!t in my day to cover for yourself but this one is pretty funny.

So it works but wasn't turned on? How hard is it to tell someone "hey, can we get the AC turned down in here"?

Probably didn’t know what it was?

760 AM radio discussing right now. This is growing legs, Texas needs to get out in front of this. They played the Orgeron interview discussing this, to his credit he didn’t say lack of ac caused the cramping.

LSU is dirty. What will take off, is the use of injuries slowing down and/or breaking opposing offenses rhythm. It's about to get out of hand.

I believe that’s why the AD made a statement and maintenance did a check on the A.C. Only other thing Texas can do is confirm with La Tech and ask why a complaint wasn’t filed I guess. This is actually the first time I’ve heard of this being a problem with any visiting team.

I could see that the AC was not turned on. Chances are the visitor locker room isn't used much if at all during the offseason and there is a real possibility that someone didn't go in there and turn on the unit prior to the game; but like others have mentioned, why not say something when you get there?

Safe to say Coach Gumbo will make sure the ac’s malfunction when Texas goes to BR next year; or m sure the Texas staff will plan accordingly

I find it literally impossible to believe this. The only way it IS possible is if someone from the equipment managers team or someone from the training staff snuck over there and turned it off. Why would they do that? In retaliation for an LSU fan that released the phone numbers of the coaching staff and some of the players, which ended up resulting in Sam getting thousands of text messages sent to him in minutes.

And let's say a member of the staff DID go off the reservation. Upon arriving at the locker room, it would have been obvious there was no AC because that place would have been literally like an oven. From the moment an opposing team arrives, they are issued a staff member from Texas (sort of a concierge if you will) that shadows the team at all times and can provide them with anything they ask for. This person (or persons) will post up right outside the locker with com's in hand to retrieve whatever the visiting team might need. Forget to pack your oxygen tanks? No problem, you can borrow some of ours. Player not feeling well or has a case of the rumbly tummy? We will bring you Pepto. If there were no AC, Coach O simply needed to open the locker room doors and say something.

That's why I think this is complete and total horse sh!t.

I didn’t even need you to explain all that to think it’s horseshit. But thanks for the insider info.

Probably right but I'm confused why La Tech would say the same?
ESPN now running with this deal. Texas AD needs to call LSU out

L$U is whining about the "locker room being too hot", yet their people passed around Ehlinger's phone#, drank water from the Texas sideline, provocatively planted their flag, did the Horns down, and continually flopped during the game? Gimme a break! Eff L$U and their arrogant, obnoxious players and fans.

LSU won so I don't know why they even brought this up? Orgeron might want to watch running his mouth, he apparently didn't see what Herman almost did to Gundy last year for running his mouth.

Because LSU is getting heat for all the 'cramps' that only their defensive players suffered from.

Hmmm, avatar picture change. Anything else you want to share with us that’s changed?
Oh nothing has changed. I just grew tired of the architecture of Frederick Eiffel and opted for a more scenic photo. I made sure to edit it so there were no actual nips showing so..... I should be legal.
