I caught up with Savion Byrd tonight. Texas is still heavily involved there. He told me he's set to do a zoom video meeting with Herb Hand, Hayden Conner and Tommy Brockermeyer tomorrow. Nice little recruiting tactic by Hand to get all three on the screen at the same time.
Also, I spoke with center Michael Myslinski, who holds a UT offer. His dad, Tom, was a nine-year NFL vet and is now the strength coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Myslinskis has a strong interest in Texas and said UT will definitely get a visit once things open back up. In the meantime, he said he actually talked to Herb Hand yesterday about doing a virtual visit where he'd meet with hand, academic advisors, tour the campus, etc. I've seen other colleges do these virtual official visits, but that's the first recruit I've heard mention of possibly doing one with Texas.
