Honestly, things are pretty quiet on the recruiting front while everyone waits to see how the rest of the season is going to play out for Texas.
I did make a few calls last night and will be making some more tonight. More in the War Room tomorrow, but a couple quick notes ...
DB Kary Vincent (LSU commit) still plans to be at UT's game next week against Baylor and still wants to take an official visit. Ohio State is also trying to get him in for a visit. He's definitely listening to UT's pitch, but there's work to be done. He still favors LSU pretty strongly.
UT DE commit Taquon Graham remains solid with his pledge. He's obviously hoping the season ends on a high note and is close with the UT coaches, and he said he's not stressing over each week UT is on the field.
"I'm not playing my commit based on how good or bad they play. That's the place I want to be," Graham said. "I just have to believe in what they're saying and buy in, and I'm in."
OOS DE Alec Jackson still has an interest in Texas (he visited for the UTL camp and holds a UT offer). Jackson plans to sit down with his family after his season ends and schedule visits. Texas will be in consideration, but this one feels like a longshot.
I haven't heard directly from Marvin Wilson or Walker Little on their visit for the ISU game, but did hear from someone at their school that it was another positive visit for UT and things went well. Obviously, a long way to go with both of those recruitments.
