This feels like the 80's all over again and trying to pick a side in the Iran-Iraq War....
I thought that was possible. These kind of sites they print links like this and they are never held accountable. Yahoo comes to mind.
That may not of been true, but the reality is it is coming. He’s 70 years old and that’s about the time the other great coaches started thinking about stepping away. Bowden, Joe pa, Snyder, etc. he found out this year to that Bama fans are going to turn on him pretty quick when they were called out for not winning by “enough” which caused an epic rant. With the transfer portal and NIL it’s going to be harder to stack talent on top of each other the way he has.
I personally think next year will be it for him. It will probably be Bryce young’s last year. So its a natural time to leave.
I'll check the ratings to see if "no one cares" I'll bet you they do. I understand the frustration because I feel it too even in the same conference of those 2. I hate Ohio St, Clemson, Bama and Georgia. I'm tired of seeing them, but they have ridiculous athletes so it's fun to watch good football. You have a couple more years "not to care"
I do feel Georgia is the better team but it seems Saban is in Smart's heard and for some reason he just can't get over the hump. I'll pull for Georgia only because Bama is just a tired scene.
From what I've been reading on sports sites and social media, a lot of people are pretty apathetic about the game. I bet the TV ratings are going to be down compared to other recent NC games. I can't stand Ohio State. Hell, everyone hates Ohio State, but the same teams being in the championship is boring. The whole world is ready for Alabama to fall off of the radar. They will at some point. It happens to every team.
Those last 2 sentences are the reason I believe the rating won’t be down. People love to root against the powerhouse programs. I think it’s going to be a really good game. Tons of NFL talent on both sides of the ball for each team gives me a reason to tune in.

That's exactly what's going to happen after what a&m did this year. Ol Nick will see to it that Alabama and the rest of the SEC isn't shown up again by a&m money whipping recruits. There does need to be some rules to this NIL thing though, or it's only going to get worse. This is going to end up ruining college football.

I posted recently that once Saban takes a backseat to A&M in recruiting something will be done, and should be imo. You are seeing it play out at OU right now. Luckily Venables isn’t sitting on his haunches and allowing 1 player(a pretty important player) to hold the team hostage only to bolt leaving you with your pants down. If a player is leaving, do it, there needs to be some timelines or something in place if for nothing else, common courtesy, since you still have recruiting to do.

People can see what they want, but Jimbo has always recruited well. It's not like A&M has bad classes in the past 3 years. It has gotten better and better. Did they use NIL this year? Yes, why wouldn't they? Texas paid 4mil for a quarterback and was offering money right and left to come join them publicly. This has been building for a while now. They have joined the SEC, built massive facilities, hired a proven coach who puts great coaches around him and have one of the best fan bases and atmospheres in all of college football. They produce NFL talent year in and year out and it has only gotten better. The Aggie Network is the real deal. This isn't a 1 time deal. This last year's team could have been much better with a quarterback, healthy receivers and a full secondary. I am totally on board with putting limits on NIL. It is a bunch of crap what is happening.
Texas paid Ewers 4 mil?? Where did you pull that from, lol? Fisher is a good recruiter, but an average coach with an out of date offense. Get back to me when a&m ever wins anything of significance. What are you going to day when they lose 3-4 games again next year?

Well weather we like to admit or not the man has won a nc and he broke the SEC's 7 game steak. And he beat AL this year. It remains to be seen what he'll do with this class.

Word on the street is that first round draft pick-level NIL money is on the table for Quinn Ewers if he chooses Texas as his transfer destination. The weaponization on the NIL front is fully underway.
However, the rumors of what Texas is offering would be too sweet to pass up.

MOST of these players have been A&M leans for a while outside of NIL That Houston group was tight as hell for the last 3 years and A&M landed 12 studs from Houston that would have ranked as the 10th best class with just those kids.

Very boring game. Refs definitely favoring Alabama. I gotta think that Georgia pulls away in the second half. The HAVE to get the ball in Bowers' hands more in the second half. Williams being out for Bama is huge.
Georgia and the overs you say? It's 53 with 15 on the board. Somebody better pull 39 points outta they ass.
I hate to use the word decimated when referring to Bama but their receiving has been severely effected by the injuries to Metchie and Williams and the fact they're still ahead in this game says something. BTW no way a guy like Robinson rides pine for 4 years going forward with the portal like it is right now
