The Qb race was so tight and no separation. So Card was the first choice by our QB whisperer of a coach. Wrong decision on the most important decision right off the bat ! Our DC loves to play 2 high safeties on obvious run plays when the opponents are trying to kill the clock . Also gives too much cushion to receivers which is why we give up way too many 3rd and longs . I guess Sarks stellar win -loss record is what made him attractive as HC ? I would have bit the bullet hired Art Briles and dealt with the initial backlash even though he has been cleared of the scapegoat action Baylor tried on him. I wanted him when Charlie was hired but the idiot Patterson screwed that up ! Briles with Texas resources and talent would have been unfair to the rest of the weak 12. So here we are not any better off than when Charlie was hired ! Rant over Hookem anyway!
