Just take Trump and Kamala as an example. Despite Trump being continually attacked by MSM, online press, academia and Hollywood, his unfavorable rating is just about the same as Harris. Now what would happen if they all trashed Kamala instead and praised Trump? Gotta think that's worth a bump for Trump, right?
The question is how much is the backing of academia, Hollywood and MSM worth in terms of votes? With elections, particularly Presidential elections determine by thousands of votes, would that be enough to tilt the scales permanently in favor of Republicans?
California would be an interesting case study as they always vote overwhelmingly Dem. I feel like out of all voters across the country, California voters are the most prone to outside influences and are very low information voters. If Miley Cyrus, Lizzo and Alf all tell them to vote Dem, then they will vote Dem.
