AP all time football poll

yawn... i see your links show Texas to have just 3 NC's.... false information..... how much stock can you put in to something tht has glaring errors such as that.

Also, your fave link in this thred, doesnt discuss the years of violations and skirting the rules that allowed ou to even be in the discussion..... so I guess its cool since they leave out facts for all teams on here in order to manipulate the rankings to some degree..... :/

I'm sure its a simple misprint and the real number was taken into consideration for Texas to be ranked that high. I do however believe the 2nd poll is a little more accurate, but that's just my opinion.

Texas should be ahead of Michigan and Nebraska. I have no idea how Michigan is ahead of Texas except they are weighing their overall record heavily. Even then Texas is right behind them as is the rest of the college football world. Nebraska and Texas are really close, but It's been almost 20 years since Nebraska was relevant in college football. I get they dominated in the 70's, and 90's but before and after they were pretty well not relevant.

Most polls I've ever seen had Texas in the Top 5 all time I thought. Am I imagining that? I wouldn't think the UT record the last couple of years would be enough to drop them down?

The Horns have a winning percentage over all the teams ahead of us, except ND. Crazy to think Blowu is ahead of us considering we have dominated the series by a margin that they will never be able to catch up.

OU is a top 5 program, Texas is top 10. Both elite programs.

OU is probably the dirtiest program in the history of college football...Miami will give ya a run for the money but doesn't have the extensive history of cheating to match the sooners.

Name a season when OU was the NC that wasn't followed by NCAA sanctions?

I'd say 1. Alabama 2. Nd 3. USC 4. OU 5. Ohio state 6. Nebraska 7. Texas. 8-10? Not sure

You do realize Nebraska has more national championships and more conference championships than Texas right? I mean you knew this didn't you? Lol

So to recap Texas has only 3 more wins all time, Nebraska has 14 more conference titles, 1 more national championship , one more Heisman winner and perhaps the best college football team of all time in 95. Take off the blinders man, take em off

Is this a dirty $ooner site now? Gah. UT hasn't had to sell our souls to get where we are either.

Texas has 4 national titles....same as Nebraska...Nebraska was Texas'bitch for the whole time they were in the same conference....and Nebraska was fueled by having all in state guys not use schollys....they were all walk ons....very fishy...Never saw so many roided up AA linemen that were walk ons.

and Conference championships?...what in hell are you talking about?...not even listed

Like I said, it's so close from 1 to 10... It's ignorant to declare true separation. Rub the hardware and keep it polished. You never know how long it will take to win another.

If Texas declared every title that some do, they'd have what, 11? 12? 13?

Thank God they don't....

What's funny was you acted like it was the craziest thing you had ever heard in your life lol. Then I presented facts that backed up my post

Sooners simply know how acknowledged and prestigious the Texas program is, it's like yanking their pud to say we better, we better.

how and why and in what universe can Nebraska be ranked above Texas?...seriously?

This is an AP poll assessment. NU has been ranked for a greater % of the polls and more weeks at #1.

NU also has more national titles.

You do, however, have 6 more wins.

Aside from all that, I'm not sure how they could be ranked ahead of you. :):):)

As for Nebraska, they're a true has been... They'll never be prominate in CFB like they were back when the black shirts were stacked full of Texas players. They lost that pipeline.

Texas owened NU and of course the Sooners prop them up, it was once a great rivalry.

Maybe not, but that's an opinion. Right now Nebraska fans could say the same about Texas

No it wouldn't lol you are just wanting to use it because it benefits Texas' argument. Head to head is nice for bragging rights but when you talk elite? It's about conference titles and national championships. I guess big bowl wins help as well and individual awards. Texas is a nice program but a few others are better.
