Astros clinch tonight

The better team won. This Braves team reminds me a lot of the Nationals team in 2019.
The crazy thing is the Nationals didn't even win the division that year my Braves did! This team was named or referred to as the "baby Braves" in 2018 cause of the youth. And now they are all grown up winning a World Series.

If I'm a Braves fan, and I'm not, I'm crossing my fingers that they don't turn into the Nats and fold up like they did after winning the WS.

MM it won't happen. We are one of the oldest baseball teams out there, 150 years to be exact if you didn't see the patch on the jerseys during the series. We have a great farm system and there is alot of youth in Atlanta. Winning the division 4 years in a row is not a fluke. I don't know if you know, but our coach has been with the Braves since 1977 and got to be around one the greatest coaches Bobby Cox.

You never know though. That may or may not happen. No team that wins a championship thinks that they're going to tail off. I don't see the Braves as being any kind of dynasty. It just all happened to come together for them this year.

Oh MM the Braves are a dynasty team, guess you have not watched much baseball and you are way older than me. "Despite an ESPN argument to the contrary, the 1990s Atlanta Braves were not just a dynasty, but the third biggest sports dynasty of the decade. They were one of the biggest dynasties in all of North American sports- with only the New York Yankees and Chicago Bulls clearly standing above them."

I know all about the Braves in the 90's. I wouldn't call them a "dynasty" though. Sure, they won a lot of regular season games, but they only won one WS. A dynasty is winning multiple championships. The Steelers of the 70's, the 49ers of the 80's, the Cowboys of the 90's, the Patriots of the 2000's and the Bulls and Yankees are dynasties. The Braves are not.

Sorry but that argument has already been made and I got it from the source

So then the Astros are going to be a dynasty because they’ve been to the WS 3 out of the 5 years and winning 1? So 2 more appearances in the WS and we’ll finally have a sports team in Houston to call a dynasty.

This is straight from the Merriam-Webster definition:

: a powerful group or family that maintains its position for a considerable time
- a baseball dynasty

The "cheating" thing doesn't help

@LonghornMM The 1990s Atlanta Braves might only have one ring. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t do as much to define baseball than any other team in that span. Including the vaunted Yankees. Without question, the Braves are a baseball dynasty.

Robo, bro, I get that you're a Braves fan, but come on man. The Braves are not a dynasty. 😆

Enjoy the WS championship, but let's not get carried away.

It's okay you don't understand MM, I have hit you with facts, but won't acknowledge it.

Facts? Some writers opinion is "facts". I've hit you with facts, but you want to lump the Braves in with true dynasty teams? They're not. As I said, congrats on the Braves winning the WS. 1995 and 2021 don't make them a dynasty. It's about championships. Not regular season wins and division titles. That there is facts, sir.

We have won 4 world series thank you very much and plenty of pennants as well. I gave you the definition and like I have told you that argument has already been made. So yes I have hit you with facts already don't ignore them. MM its okay to be like the non Cowboys fans.

A dynasty consists of winning multiple championships over a short period of time. Has nothing to do with regular season success.

Definitely not back to back WS wins (1914, 1957, 1995, and 2021). I mean my parents weren’t even born for 2 of those. I think you are forcing this dynasty on a team that wasn’t a dynasty. Go look up teams that were or are and most of the time they were called dynasty teams due to Championships year to year not over 20-30+ in between year championships. The Braves were a good team this year but they have to keep making it to the WS consistently and win you won’t know this until they do it. Shoot the Astros seem to have a good team put together and have made it 3 out of 5 years and have only won 1.

Robo go ahead and call them a dynasty team though. If you’re in ATL they’ll all agree with you. Anywhere else you may get laughed at especially in NY.

According to this wording and logic, there isn't substance to the term "dynasty". Using this mentality, just about any team would be considered a dynasty. True dynasties in sports are teams with multiple championships grouped together.

Again that argument has been made already. Go look it up yourself. I have put the facts out there for you guys. I know you had to go look up stuff from your post. But we can agree to disagree. Sorry your Astros lost.

So now you want to question one of the longest standing books out there for definitions lol good grief
