The Big XII has 5 teams in the top 25 not bad.

And I can't remember the last time we looked this good at mid season.

Or OK being this bad.

Big game this week in Big XII. OSU/TCU a battle of unbeatens

I'd have never thought that TCU would have been one of the 2 remaining unbeatens.

Maybe Gary Patterson had burned out TCU was sub 500 his last 3 years.

And maybe Rick Dykes is the change they needed.

So many big games this week. That's the way it should be on the 3rd Saturday in October.

Honest question, is Rick a nickname?

More news at the halfway point.

Slippery Rock rebounded from a shocking loss to Indiana University of PA last week to defeat Mercyhurst yesterday.

They're now 5/1 Darrell and Cactus would be so proud.

And Indiana University of PA really is a school.

Also PS is a quiet 5/0 and ranked 10th. They can make some noise if they win at MI this week.

And we really owe ISU one this week.

This must be a good post because clob and oldhorn gave it a “like”. But, I know nothing about any one sentence in this post. 👍🏻

Texas opens the week as a 13 point favorite at home against ISU.

Check out the KU/OU opening line. OU opens as a 9 point favorite.

At the height of the DKR 1960's power houses the announcer would give the Slippery Rock score and the whole place would go nuts!

Yup. They did it when I was in school too.

The last score the announcer would always give would be the aTm score-- followed by a loud boo or cheer.

This was before the internet so we didn't know any scores until they told us.

One more at the halfway point.

Our old friend Stan Drayton is now the hc at Temple and they're 2/3.

He's worked hard for this and I believe he's from the area.

But Temple is one the worst coaching jobs in the country so we need to pull for him.

Another old friend Mack Brown is 5/1 at halfway point at NC.

The tar heels aren't 5/1 good. But unlike Jimbo Fisher at least his team beat Appalachian State.

They don't play Clemson and they will have a big final game against instate rival NCS.

Pulling for ya Mack.
