Audit finds UT staff used prime seats to help ticket brokers, and play favorites

This is the weakest scandal story I have ever seen. Employees sold tickets and did favors for donors? I would be shocked if they had done an investigation and found out that this wasn't happening. The next horror they will uncover is that students some times sell their tickets to people who are not students!

Agreed. When you own the palace, the subjects will spend the money it takes to grovel.

We live in a dishonest society, dishonesty is defended, adults break the law, and we wonder why children have no respect for authority. Children model adult behavior.

A ticket scandal at KU sent some to federal prison. That scam was in the millions and was turned over by the school to be federally investigated. Keeping this investigation In-house (Austin DA) and holding it under wraps for a few years seems to be the..... "Smart" yet unethical approach to a similar situation.

Nothing will come of this.

I agree with this. I'm not bashing UT here, as I am sure that most big schools this kind of stuff. But you're right, we do live in a dishonest world, and then we justify it by saying things like "everyone else does it" or "this is normal, we should expect this."

How could anyone be suprised by this story. Big time college athletics works like this:

Give lots of cash to the university, get access, perks and good tickets.....
