Think about it:

That "full week of rest" is great for a veteran team, because they can concentrate on healing wounds and making slight adjustments to the game plan. For a young team, that week off can really be a double edged sword. These guys are sitting around for two weeks going "is sam ok? Is sam ok? Sam, how you feeling? You ok?". Whilst simultaneously looking across the locker room and wondering "can we win with shane?". Constantly asking shane "you good bro? Everything good with you? How you doin bro?".

Trust me, going into a bye week is great if everything is going great in the locker room. If there's uncertainty, you wake up every morning with questions on your mind that cause you to be distracted and lose sight of the objective.

Before film sessions, show the ESPN playoff show to the team. That right there will be enough motivation to keep focus.

How in over 20 years of failure do you not once step back and think, ya know, maybe my way is not the best way?

I don't want to hijack the thread more than it already has been but yes I realize we've won 4 in a row with that said we haven't really beaten anyone that we shouldn't have. Colts 2-5, Cowboys 3-4, Bills 2-5 & Jags 3-4 and some of these teams have really bad away records. We have tons of talent but we have horrible coaching. We literally went 1-6 in the red zone against the Cowboys and 2 of those were at the 1 yard line. A win is a win but we're not good because of the coaching.

NFL aggy is a fraud. They've beaten no one. Same old 9-8, 8-8 team. Gave O'Brien a contract extension, and he's not going anywhere anytime soon. Can you imagine what will happen to the Texans if they make the playoffs?
