Bailor v Horns game thread

Texas May pull out this victory but I hope Herman doesn’t try to convince everyone that it’s all fixed. A win is a win but Baylor hasn’t practiced or played in 3 weeks, and hadn’t really practiced all year. So. Gotta put it a little perspective.

And yet

And yet we are only winning by 11.

Did I hear correctly that Baylor had 1 or 2 practices in the past two weeks? And we've had two weeks of full practices. That's pathetic

Yeah they were basically shut down till this week. And they were shut down for a bit during summer practice as well I think. Aranda really hasn’t had any meaningful time with their team at all. I’d believe he doesn’t even know some of the players honestly lol

Ingram is averaging 3.6 yds on 16 carries
Robinson is averaging 5.2 yds on 9 carries

I don't understand.

Herman hates using players that produce. There are countless examples over the last 3-4 years where guys make a couple plays and never see the field again

The number "0" took a knee or 0 members of the team took a knee?
I think was talking about the player #0. I’m cool with that. The reality is it doesn’t matter how you feel about the song you aren’t going to make the players do anything. Best to come up with a compromise and everyone move on.

OSU is going to be a tough one. Their D is playing the best of any team I've seen so far this year. It could get ugly. On the bright side it may bring us one step closer to UM.

I’m as big a Texas fan as there is. I don’t see any way in hell we beat ok state

I don't mine saying it I shed a tear for Sam even if he his not on his best game. Yes I am a snowflake!

Proud of Sam even he is not at his best! Beat the hell out of the Cowboys. Yes I an eternal optimist.

I have to agree with you. This team is full of extreme talent that achieves average results.
I will say I do think Herman is going to have to beat ok state, kstate or Iowa State to even have a chance at saving his job. Beating Tech, Baylor, KU and WVU isn’t gonna do it. Especially if Meyer wants the job

On a side note Robert Brewer is my favorite Texas quarterback. As a former walk on he defeated Alabama in the Cotton Bowl.

So we have no TEXAS on the front and no players names on the back and they seem to have been shamed into playing a half way decent game thus far.
Weren't these supposed to be throwback uniforms? Either they didn't have names on them that year or maybe the jersey rep forgot.

FYI, number O took a knee during eyes.

Just pathetic. These guys have no clue what class, dignity and respect mean. I'm sure it has to do with the song. Just amazes me that all these young dudes think they're doing something that is virtuous and worthy of respect from others. Kneeling because of the song's alleged origins? Really? What about all those cotton clothes that he wears everyday? Didn't slaves pick a lot of cotton back in the day? Why doesn't he protest cotton clothes? This is how ridiculous this has become. Tom Herman has enabled them to act like clowns and this is the primary reason we suck this year. They've been taught to hate their country, hate their university and hate white and black people who think independently. I bet they put their protesting and marching down on their resume and actually believe it will help them land an opportunity somewhere. And there's our university kow-towing to these entitled clowns and actually taking them seriously. We're not winning any football games nor any championships in other sports if our university continues to promote victimization and "oppression" of minorities as the single most important issue of our time. My fear is that type of cancerous culture will drive away a coach like UM. If we don't turn this crap around quick we're going to turn into the next Nebraska. That school is a lost cause and will probably never go back to becoming a true blue blood college program.

I’m not sure Nebraska was ever a “blue blood” program. They just had a really good coach for a long time and they have a loud loyal fan base.

I’ve mentioned the underutilization of Wiley before. Same with Roschon. I saw him get just a couple of touches today. Any particular reason? Injury? Doghouse?

If Urban says no Luke Fickle ought to get a call. He’s built a hell of a program at Cincinnati I know because of what we expierenced with Herman and Strong we have an aversion to AAC coaches, but I’d compare Fickle more to the Rhule’s, Briles, and other successes out of the AAC because it’s more than one year. He’s buit a legit, consistent power house

“Powerhouse” is a bit strong.

Hell no!

RoJo Doesn't fumble enough

Wiley is too much of a matchup problem
Makes sense.
RoJo is simply too tough and Wiley gets open over the middle.
We need to continue to keep them on the sidelines to give the other defenses the best chance to stop us. Keeps the games interesting.
