The strategy is good when you win the first game. We saw same thing with him trying to stretch Witt. I don’t blame him for being afraid of rest of pen cause of walk numbers and easier to defend going down with one of your elite pitchers. It’s why winning that first game is so big.

Your focus is misguided. Good pitchers, and we lost by run coming out of the losers bracket... top 3 teams in the country.

I understand they had good pitchers. My problem is you need bats to pick up when you are limited in your bullpen…that didn’t happen…and that’s not saying I’m disappointed in the season…a couple things break our way and we are moving on

He knows his arms better than you couch potatoes, it’s always a fine line as to when to pull a pitcher, the stats show it backfires as much as it saves. We did lose this game because of pitching or lack of…. We lost because because we didn’t take advantage of our opportunities

No need for a double play at that point. You would have two outs. And then you don’t have to pipe anything to the leadoff.

Putting a shitty hitter on to hope a very good (and very fast) hitter hits into a DP is not going with the odds.

You don't intentionally walk a .225 hitter to pitch to someone better. Take the out (theoretically), and go for the third out.
