Baseball: Orange/White Fall World Series

Did you catch any of this. I know this is way backburner and there is real World Series, NFL day and we are in the middle of college football season, but, I caught maybe an hour of this game today. Nice little preview of what is to come. All I got out of it is that we have a nice juco transfer in Massen Hibbeler and a promising freshman Kamron Fields.

Yes Mason is a good story played for a power house in baseball here in Texas (Cypress Ranch) didn't get recruited by any big schools went to Odessa College and made a name for himself. Very good polished baseball player and will help us in the infield this year with losing players. And fields is just an athlete had 12 division 1 scholarship to play football but baseball is his first love cant wait to see him in the outfield. But if you really want to talk about a new promising player look out for our new first baseman Zach Zubia this kid hit over 20 homeruns this summer and broke the record and won the homerun derby in his league as well. The kid can smash the ball very far and will hit the new tennis facility easily. He can be compared to Luken Baker from tcu that can change the game in one swing, but I feel Zubia can be better.

I am very excited about Texas baseball and what Pierce is doing and bringing in his type of players. We will be on top of the baseball world again like we should be and will be seeing us more in Omaha.

Thanks Robo. Texas needs to recurit more hitters like Zubia. I agree that Pierce was a good hire and will get Texas back into CWS contention.
