I don't like being held Hostage. I do not understand the Stockholm Syndrome when being held Hostage, but a few of our fans are exhibiting it. I do not know why when the hostage takers are so wrong. From the Left we get the 1619 project that is filled with errors and untruths on the Founding of our Country to now our Fight Song being racist. Nowhere in history has there been a document like our Constitution. The founding fathers put in what is called "poison pills" into the framework to deal with slavery at a later time. Our Constitution is to be honored and looked upon as the single instrument that has granted and will grant individuals their freedom. The Bill of Rights outlines what the Government cannot do to it's citizens. Now, we have some people who are not happy with restricting government and want to re-write our own history with charges of racism and then hold us hostage if we do not agree. Well, I will not agree or adhere to their demands to take our rights away or our time honored traditions.

To me their demand on changing our Fight Song is just another demand on top of others that have been made and will be made in the future. Some of our fans on this board are saying, "oh we can never play the Eyes again because the blacks on the team think it's racist". That is unreal bs and caving in when there is no need to do so. I say play the Eyes of Texas even louder and louder throughout the game. I would shove it in their faces. If the crybaby protesting players are that angry, then why stay here? Leave our Texas and go play at San Angelo State. Texas will still recruit great players and one day will again be back on top, with a new coach who demands and gets respect from all and THE EYES OF TEXAS will still be our Fight Song.

If anything this contrived leftist controversy over our Fight Song has only made it more sacred. Yes the line in the sand has been drawn, not by the hostage takers but by the hostages, we will not succumbed to your Lies about the Eyes!!

Great post. What is happening with our beloved (for now) team is a microcosm of what is occurring in the US. That is precisely why the events at UT are so important and shouldn't be dismissed.
We are in a high tech civil war. Publishers and editors of information such as Twitter and Fakebook can censor posters and operate without liability under section 230. By actively censoring information as they have been, especially over the last week, they are no longer merely transmitters of others' content.
HornsNation, we have those that honor the founding principles of this country and those that don't know/care what the Constitution stands for. But, make no mistake, we are currently in a low intensity, high tech civil war. I will post what I believe the solution is at a later time.

Dyk that 21 mil people who didn't have health insurance before the ACA will lose it if the ACA. That 100 mil could be without it because of pre existing conditions? That's why DT appointed EG, BK, and wants AB on the SC asap before it becomes to the court on 11/10/20.. If she gets confirmed. The majority of Americans want the ACA to stay but DT and the R's don't care. With their 6/3 majority they are the ones who can and probably will legislate from the bench. And if you are ok with the ACA being ended with and what it will do shame on you.

As for abortion. I myself am pro life but as I said earlier I accept that other people don't share my views. Dyk that the majority of Americans don't want Roe v Wade overturned. And the number of abortions has steadily decreased.

The Democrats are not for the “status quo” with abortion “rights” but believe what you will. Read the DNC platform and check out what many prominent democratic leaders say. It is highly unlikely that the Supreme Court will overturn roe v wade even with ACB. That is pure scare tactics.

If the Democrats want to keep the ACA then they need to pass a constitutional version through the system.

Ok I believe that it was a state district judge who suspended GA's order. But last week I believe the 5th circuit a 3 man panel that was appointed by DT overturned it. I have 2 brothers that are lawyers in Austin who follow the courts closely I'll ask them if there's been a change since last weeks overturned decision.

What MM and DT want to do is legislate from the bench. In their debate 3 weeks ago DT bragged about how he's appointed 200 judges since he's been potus which he said was more than Obama. What he didn't mention was that MM blocked all of Obama's appointments. That's exactly what they want to do. It isn't just the ACA and Roe v Wade. It's about the 2nd amendment its about voter suppression, gutting the voting rights act of 1964 eliminating background checks for people who wish to purchase firearms this is what this group of R's want. It's not hyperbole they've said as much themselves. If you support all of this shame on you because most of America doesn't want that but DT, MM, and the rest of the RP don't care.

In parting for people who say they are pro life. What about the families that are broken up at the border? What about the dreamers? If you are pro life how can you not be upset by this?
