JUCO LB Juwan Mitchell is flying home right now but he and I talked before he boarded his plane.
The Dodge City C.C. standout said he had an "amazing" visit and the Longhorns have surged to the top of his list. Mitchell told me he'll decide between Texas and Arkansas, probably towards the middle of this week.
"Texas is higher over Arkansas," Mitchell said coming out of the UT visit.
I'll have a more detailed report with quotes either tonight or in the morning, but the most important piece of information is that the Longhorns are now out in front, and it looks like Texas will very likely be adding to its 2019 class at some point this week. Assuming Mitchell does pick UT, he'll enroll for summer session I and begin team functions immediately. He'll have four years to play three seasons of Division I ball.
