I just talked to Louisville Trinity Rondale Moore. He was at the Austin airport checking his bag so I kept it super short, but I got an update you all will really like.
Moore said it was a fantastic visit to Texas and told me Texas is now his number one school.
"It was great," Moore said. "I definitely got to talk to every coach. We talked more about life after football. Football eventually comes to end. It doesn’t last forever. Having the opportunity to play football is great, but you obviously have to have something to lean on after football.
"Right now, I feel like they’re on top of my recruiting."
Moore, who was joined on the trip by his uncle, said Ohio State and Purdue are the other two schools that are drawing strong consideration. I asked when he's thinking he'd like to sort through his options and make a final decision.
"Whenever my family and I feel it’s right to make a decision. I just need to sit down and talk to my family," Moore said. "I don’t have a set date."
I asked Moore if a decision could come soon, or if he still wants to wait a while and he said he's not sure yet. Honestly, it wouldn't shock me to see this one go down fairly quickly, depending on how his talks go with his family when he gets back home. At any rate, Texas did a great job this weekend and the Longhorns are now the team to beat for the speedster slot receiver.
