Major Takeaways

* It's pretty clear that Ewers has made vast improvement in all areas this season, but the biggest improvement has been against the blitz. where he's gone from being a very average player to a very, very good player.

* Ewers is still struggling when placed under pressure, but he's made a ton of improvement from the awful numbers he placed under pressure from a year ago.

* Ewers' overall accuracy still isn't anywhere near elite levels, but it's also much improved from a year ago.

* Teams have blitzed Ewers more this season through six games and he's made them pay. It will be interesting to see how quickly teams catch on to the fact that he's much better against the blitz than when teams rush four and drop seven.

* The key for teams when playing Ewers is being able to get a rush with four players, while dropping everyone else back into coverage. The rub is that the Longhorns protect Ewers very well, so it's hard to get to him with only four players. Yet, if you blitz him, you better get to him or there's a very good chance he'll make you pay.
