I've posted on here in the past that there was that it looked like a big orange blur when Phil kicked that fg. But I remember that VA wore blue pants and they had a coach wearing bright orange pants. Orange is one of VA's colors and I saw that orange blue walking off the field sad with their heads hanging down.
And if there's an epilogue to this the following year we went to VA and got our ass kicked on national tv.
This was my all time favorite hit by a UT player. Tony Brackens nails the kicker from Tech on a fake field goal attempt. I was at the game and our seats were at the perfect angle to see this hit. We seriously thought that he may have killed him. That's how vicious the hit looked and sounded at the time.
