6:15 p.m. update - McGinnis said the recruiting coordinator and d-line coach (Giles) just had a long conversation with his coach. He said Texas wants to get him down to Austin for a visit and they're calling his head coach now.
I was supposed to catch up with McGinnis tonight but he has some personal issues he's dealing with so we're going to talk at a time that's better for him.

3:50 update - Hearing Oscar Giles has indeed reached out to Tyreece Lott. OU, Ok State and K-State have all offered this week.

Couple interesting updates ... Mike McGinnis tells me he's been in touch with Oscar Giles.
"We're seeing if they could get me to come visit tomorrow," McGinnis said.
I'm supposed to talk to McGinnis tonight.
Kenneth Orji tells me Corby Meekins came by to visit him last week and Derek Warehime came by today.
"They're short on LBs so he said after the staff gets a chance to settle in from moving from U of H they will watch my film together and make there finale evaluations. Coach Warehime and coach Meekins already watched it and really liked it.
Orji said he and Warehime have discussed the possibility of a visit but nothing has been set up yet.
