The conference should have been smarter and applied an umbrella rule that accomplished the same thing. No guns down, no whatever Iowa State, Kansas State, Baylor, & TCU care about, no horns down, no whatever hurts Kansas & Okie lites feelings, etc... it would have accomplished the same thing without showing blatant favoritism. Doing it this way makes me think it was probably a BIG12 idea, as you guys aren't this stupid.

I will admit to one point. Calling it a penalty sometimes and sometimes not is worse. If you let it go all game and call it in a key situation, it would be even worse. So you convinced me on one point. But I still think calling it at all is pathetic.

The point is you don't view Horns Up as taunting, but did you ever consider that the Coaches, Players and Fans of other Teams might? So why not get rid of all hand gestures is the point, why single out a certain hand gesture and claim it is taunting. Why does the Big 12 see Horns Down as taunting, because UT says it is? So should all of the other schools go to the Big 12 and say they feel like UT doing Horns Up is taunting? It's all ridiculous.

Nobody knows what hurts Iowa State's or Kansas State's feelings, because no one cares. But they probably have feelings too. Maybe they feel taunted when you guys throw the horns up after a big play. If they moved the needle the BIG12 office would care about their feelings too, but they don't - so the BIG12 doesn't care. I don't blame you guys or really even the BIG12 office. I just think they could have handled it in a smarter way.
