Did some checking around tonight to see what I could dig up on Cibolo Steele DB Caden Sterns, who visited Texas on Saturday.
Sterns, who has been committed to LSU since November of last year, hasn't responded to our calls or texts. He's always been pretty tough for us to reach, so that's not particularly interesting or unusual.
What is interesting, in talking to a couple people tonight, is that it sounds like the visit yesterday couldn't have gone much better. In fact, rumor has it from an LSU source that Sterns has already made the decision to decommit from LSU and I think he may have even told the LSU staff of his intentions. Not positive on that though.
What does that mean for Texas? Well, it doesn't take a rocket surgeon/brain scientist to put the pieces together on this one if what I've heard tonight is accurate. Things look very good for the Longhorns. This isn't a case like Cameron Dicker or Ron Tatum where we have been told ahead of time about an upcoming commitment, but we'll be watching this one closely, especially in the immediate future.
