i saw something like that tweeted by norm macdonald the other night-- i thought it was hilarious (obviously, his wording was better).
on a serious note, the human in me agrees with outhere. but i am genuinely conflicted because the Christian in me is supposed to hope he saw the light and came to God, right? maybe some of you more intelligent theologians can better splain things than i.

He was evil but the Manson family committed a total of 9 murders. Mao Tse-Tung killed 60 million, Stalin 40M, Hitler 30M. Context.
Well, maybe he wasn't the most evil person of all time but he still deserves a place at the table with the other men you mentioned.
He was an amateur compared to the mass murderers of today. If only the Manson family had access to AR-15's with bump stocks.
I still contend that Tex Watson could have done a better job from his jail cell than Shawn Watson did on the sideline under Strong.

No I think it’s pretty funny. In no way shape or form did I make light of Tex Watson’s crime. Simply pointing out he may have been a better choice at OC than Shawn Watson. Lighten up geez.

About damn time. He might have only ordered the death of 9 or so people but he was also trying to incite a race war (Helter skelter). With his ability to persuade people he could have been another Jim Jones, the modern devil.

Dont give Jones that much credit.....those 918 drank the Koolaide alright....but the 5 guys with machine guns saying drink it or else might have been a bit more persuasive....
Well yes, I can see your point. He did get them all to buy into his cult crap and to attend his koolaid party. Gunmen were to make sure they all follow up. Worst part was all of the children were force fed.......man....just makes me hurt inside.
I'd like to add something to that. There are so many people in America imprisoned for crimes they did not commit. People who had incompetent representation. Most of them were poor, people of color.
And yet here was the Manson family and I'm speaking of Susan Atkins, Patricia Krenwinkle, Leslie Van Houten, and Tex Watson. There have been so many people who have lobbied for their release. That disgusts me in ways I truly can't describe. This is especially true in regards to Susan Atkins and Tex Watson. I mean they were guilty as sin they've even acknowledged it.

They had their day in court. And for the umpteenth time they're still trying to release Leslie Van Houten. She's been pardoned. Again. But it still has to approved the governor. You can say what you want about Jerry Brown but this will be third time where her freedom depends on the gov. He denied it the first two times and its a certainty he will deny her again.
Toy know Belldozer Watson is a common surname in America. I'll bet you've known a few Watson's in your life. When you were trying to be funny how many of them did you call Tex?
Nope that’s the only other Watson I’m aware of so I went with that. BTW I’ve shown 3 other people my comment and they found it absolutely hilarious, a real knee slapper they said. People on this and other boards are actually encouraging me to pursue a stand up routine and I’ve agreed to so I’ll be posting my material here for many years to come. I'm an electric chair kind of guy myself. There is no way someone sitting on death row is not petrified of that thing. Firing line is good too but it's awfully quick.

hanging....best way ever....quickest ever, but it brought about a great deal of fear. My only issue with hanging is that it is way more humane than the needle.
