CJ Baxter authored an article that is a great read.

I enjoyed reading this article. He is an impressive young man not only as a player, but as a person.

Article:
That was very well done and I think that message not just as it relates to CJ's article will be one of the ley drivers in regard to how Texas attacks A&M Saturday. And I'm looking forward to that game and watching Texas take another important step forward.

I don't know much about CJ outside of the pads but it definitely seems like he's good guy with a strong head on his shoulders. Nice personal article. Sounds like he's done a ton of self reflection during his rehab.

That's all you have time to do. You've been laid up before. You gotta keep that mind occupied between re-hab sessions or you go bananas.

Clob... I agree (as I usually do with your thoughts). What I was struck with was how well written his article was. No doubt he will profit from his time at Texas whether he ever steps on the field again or not.

It was well written. ChatGPT makes everything better. Not saying he did, and I wouldn’t care, but if I were a kid today I’d definitely run everything I wrote through AI first. Bottom line his passion and integrity are clear. AI won’t change that (I hope).

True. Speaking of, I had a couple long talks with disabled vet out of south Louisiana. He put a lot of things in a different perspective for me and so recently decided to revisit the va system.
I'll be basically walked through the entire claims process, including exams, with highly vouched for professionals this time. Not those facebook scam companies but special channels without any inside ties.
It's taken a while but it's time. I'm getting my damn free supercombo next year.

Good for you my man. If you ever find yourself in SA and want to swing by- look up the American GI Forum- National Veterans Outreach Program. I handle the retirement for their system. The CEO is a GREAT dude. In fact- he's the only retired O6 I've ever met that wasn't an a-hole. And he's seen some sh!t. He retired as the Brigade commander of the 101st. I know for a fact he'd gladly point you in the right direction.
Just ask for Col. Serge and tell him Clob sent you.

Lemme know if I can offer any advice. I just spent the last 18 months going through the process for getting re-rated, and it was an absolute ass kicker. I had to fight with VAB tooth and nail the entire way, but it was ultimately worth it. I don’t know if they intentionally make it such a long and difficult process because they’re trying to screw us out of benefits, or if they’re just incompetent. I refused to pay one of those scammers, so I did it myself, with help from my county VSO and the TVC.
