Yep. If I was Michigan state(the best job open at the moment) I’d already be hammering out an offer. I’m not sure there are going to be prime jobs open this year besides Michigan state. Unless there are some surprises everyone seems pretty safe.
Harbaugh could jump to the NFL. I think that’s likely.
I question if Michigan is even a better job now. Personally, I’d just stay at Duke

Dabo is not wrong in what he said in theory I’ve been critical of people on here for having the “ok we won but not by enough” attitude, BUT when you are the top guy your making all the money and getting all the glory when things are good you gotta take the bulets when things go bad, and I think what Dabo doesn’t understand is at elite programs who have won 10-12 games for the last decade a “bad” year is 9-3. 6-6, 7-5 might as well be a losing season. I also think what Dabo doesn’t understand and what Mack found out and other coaches have found out. Once it goes off the rails… it’s really tough to get back on the rails, and its off the rails
Dabo is turning into Mack Brown his final years at Texas. NIL and the Portal have changed recruiting and he hasn't adjusted and isn't getting the same type of classes. And he is compounding the issue by not seeking out guys in the portal to fill in the holes from recruiting.
Mack didn't have any problems in "changing" He just chose the wrong path in the fork in the road. He tried to go smash mouth football when the rest of the world was moving to the spread. Recruited the wrong kids and fell behind. Dabo REFUSES to change and that will be his down fall. Macks success at NC proves this. Yes NC still got upset this year and had a let down but lets not act like he hasn't turned their football program back around...Again.
Yep Mack’s time at UT had just run it’s course. He could still recruit and coach. The game is passing Dabo by. And he’s choosing to let it pass him by.
I promise you there are a lot of coaches that probably agree with him on NIL and the portal, but they keep their mouth shut and play by the rules as they are. Why? Because their paid a lot of money to win football games.

Or stick to your principles and deal with whatever consequences come. And be okay with the consequences, positive or negative. But you can’t whine about both.

Clemson players have NIL deals, but you don’t think Dabo’s comments about NIL are used against him in recruiting? I know I would if I were a coach recruiting against Clemson.

They had 26 signees last year and 11th class. They have 17 croots this year with a 91.54 avg. rating.
I’m sure he’s lost a few, but much like Sark, give me dudes that WANT to be here. Your reward will be merit based and much more satisfying than bag dropping
