No idea what happened, but God bless the victims and their families. World is getting so crazy.

Thanks for posting this I wasn't paying any attention to the news and my friend works at UT. Reaching out to see if she's ok.

Ok she's ok but said it's chaotic.

Stabbings on a college campus, a shooter on the loose in Dallas. This world is nuts.

Good time to remind your friends and family about the Facebook "Marked Safe" feature for events like this. I had 3 friends on campus mark themselves safe.

Prayers to all those involved. **** the POS that did this.

Any idea why this happened? My first thought was terrorism but it doesn't seem to be the case. Was it just a nut off his meds? So senseless.

I can not imagine being a parent of the victims, unbelievably sad.

20 yr old biology major from Killeen is the suspect. Previously had been arrested and spoke of taking "happy pills".
What the hell is that?

It was a just random, terrible hate crime.

My guess this all leads back to drug use.I wonder what is his history of drugs and you may be able to find an answer. He took a good mans life for what?He will spend years in a jail cell if not life to figure it out.

anyone with no logical thought process will ever figure anything out. He will sit in his cell clueless until he dies.

Why would you immediately think drugs? Random violence long preceded humans. Go watch some of Jane Goodall's tapes. She found out that chimps wage genocidal war, infanticide, etc. Shit happens. Deal with it.

Deal with it? This seems like a very cold response. Someone's young life was taken for no reason. If this happened to someone in your immediate family is this the advice you would give them?

I think ya got to deal with it personally as the Police ..etc, well they just plea it down from Death needle to job in commissary. This not revenge type stuff its just Reckoning.I am on my way to Austin to get a handgun class for my granddaughter that goes to UT, Texas is starting to get a bad image on this politic stuff from the Dildo's till now, I know of 5 kids down here that got a full schoolly for Texas and turned it down to go to another school cause of the BS and 3 of them go to Lake Travis HS..FB team in turmoil and campus the same way doesn't do much for recruiting students to go to Texas for school. I believe in the Law but sometimes they make too many deals and tell to many liesI hope the others get better and my prayer out for the other one

If kids are turning down full rides because of dildos man I really feel bad for them. Seriously! If that is your biggest concern well life is going to kick their ass. I'd be more concerned with rape, racisim, robberies etc.. actual things that could harm you but dildos not so much. There's always going to be political garbage to deal with in life.

Agree. Someone that got a full scholarship to Texas may very well have received scholarships or at least been accepted at some really good schools, so I can see them turning down UT on that front. If you know 5 people that turned down full rides because of dildos, then you should be embarrassed to know them.

Its not just the dildos, its everything, politics, demonstrations..etc, the students should be going to class learning, not playing Berkley in the 60's shit, demoing against every damn thing, some kids don't want to get involved in that crap, they just want to learn, and yes its a sad day, they picking AGGSY over UT 1 kids at Texas and the other fixin to go to Aggsy, well i guess not really, she wants to be a vet so why not?

Not saying its a good thing or a bad thing, but on senior Sunday at my Baptist church, the number of kids going to A&M vs. UT is 10 to 1. I know UT has always had the reputation as being liberal and A & M as conservative, but in this small snap shot it appears this is a reflection of the country at large - the conservative are getting more conservative and the liberal more liberal.

The great thing about this country that I assume you fought for and my family fought for is the freedom to protest what you don't agree with. If "kids" don't want to go to UT because of politics, protest and whatever life will always throw at you then that's cool. I mean people are still going to UT and getting a great education. It's not like that's stopping the slew of women and men graduating this May. It's very short sighted to not choose a very good school because of normal things like politics and demonstrations. They happen throughout this country and others. It's actually good for young people to learn from and if they aren't going to class that's on them.

With that said guys my daughter will be an Aggie this summer. She applied for the Engineering program at UT but fell short and didn't want to change her major. #7 in her class and her goal is to graduate as a Mechanical Engineer. Torn but still proud!

I mean that this will happen again. Crazy people will do crazy things.

My son estimates he was a minute from being in the killer's path. He was running late, and as he got to the lobby of Moore-Hill, three people rushed in, and pulled the door shut behind them. They hadn't seen any carnage, but from how others were panicking, they knew something bad was going down.

LongfellowDrew... I get the sense that at Texas, you often have to keep reapplying to become an engineering major (of any kind). Not sure how many get in as freshmen, but my son didn't, either. Just put together a solid record, and then get in.

She could use A&M as a Junior College, and reapply... (Hate to see anyone get indoctrinated by the Aggies.)

One of my son in laws went to Austin community, transferred to UT, ended up Tau Beta Pi. So, it could happen.

THIS.

There's a huge group in the middle who just want everyone to get a long. Then I all the people who argue and need to voice their opinions and prove just how wrong the other side is, those are the people becoming more and more extreme liberals and/or extreme conservatives

Sooooo......do we know yet why this POS went Gensu on people? Any guesses?
Bath salts?
Antifa?
ISIS?
Self loathing?
Gilmore Girls canceled?
Jilted lover?
Off his meds?
Jim Bowie fetish?

The silence from authorities makes me think it's not just a crazy off his meds. Not sure what, but I'm betting it's something the PC crowd would not be comfortable with.

Well us non PC folks deserve to know the truth..... just saying.

I'm guessing plain ole crazy. Privacy laws keep this pretty quiet.
